CM Punk’s WWE Return Has “Been A Dream”

By Craig Ballantyne on 3 November 2025

CM Punk says every day has been a dream since he returned to WWE.

Since returning to WWE at Survivor Series 2023, CM Punk has become one of the top stars in the company. After two years and highly personal feuds with Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre, Punk solidified that status at Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1st.

In the main event, Punk faced Jey Uso for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship. After some near misses and multiple GTS’s, Punk was able to put Uso away for the 3-count and capture the gold. Unlike his win at SummerSlam last year – where Seth Rollins cashed in Money in the Bank on him – Punk has been able to savour the moment.

The following day, Punk spoke to Nick Olczyk at the hockey game between Tampa Bay Lightning and Utah Mammoth, saying it was a “happy accident” he got to enjoy some hockey after his big win.

“Yeah, I won the title here last night, and happy accident, I get to come watch some hockey today so, I’m enjoying my day off.”

When asked about his time in WWE since returning, Punk said every day was a dream for him.

“Every day’s been a dream. Honestly, every day is gratitude. Obviously, I love hockey so much, I kind of draw the parallels between my wrestling career and hockey, and I’m the old guy in the room now, and I’m just happy I get to lace up my skates, and the privilege to be able to walk the room, walk the locker room, and the halls with a lot of talented young stars and seeing all the fans, all the places I’ve been all around the world multiple times.

“Getting to revisit stuff and see the young and old all love wrestling. It’s great. It’s been a dream.”

What’s Next For CM Punk?

Continuing, CM Punk joked that his next step was to watch the rest of the game before moving on to Albuquerque for Raw.

“What’s next? What’s next is the next shift. Second period (of the hockey game), I might go check what kind of food you guys have, send some pictures to my wife. If you guys got some crazy nachos or something, she’ll be excited. I’m on my way after the game to Albuquerque for Monday Night Raw. So, tune in, Netflix, Raw…”
