AEW All Out To Air On HBO Max; Time Change Announced

AEW All Out will no longer go head-to-head with WWE Wrestlepalooza.

On September 20th, All Elite Wrestling will hold its annual All Out event in Toronto, Canada’s Scotiabank Arena. The show is set to feature Toronto’s own Adam Copeland and Christian Cage taking on FTR in a grudge match months in the making.

Continuing the company’s recent trend of counter-programming major AEW events, WWE has announced that Wrestlepalooza will take place on the same day, and it was set to be the first time a main roster PLE would go head-to-head with Tony Khan’s company.

However, Fightful Select has now reported that the promotion has made the decision to move the start time for All Out to 3 p.m. ET, while Wrestlepalooza will take place five hours later at 8 p.m. The move is similar to changes made to All In Texas, which was held on the afternoon of July 12th after WWE announced Saturday Night’s Main Event on the same day.

Sources told Fightful that a contributing factor to the time change was the success of Forbidden Door, which aired live in the afternoon in the US due to being held in the UK.

HBO Max Subscribers To Save On AEW PPVs

As well as the change to the start time, AEW has announced that All Out will be the company’s first pay-per-view event to air on HBO Max. In a press release, WBD and AEW said the ppvs will air live without ads and will be broadcast with HDR10 and Dolby Atmos sound. Fans who buy through HBO Max will also save $10, with the event selling on the platform for $39.99.

AEW programming will also be slightly altered in the week leading up to All Out, per the press release:

“Leading into AEW All Out that Saturday, September 20, TNT and HBO Max will air AEW Saturday Tailgate Brawl: All Out at 2 p.m. ET, a one-hour live show that will get fans’ adrenaline pumping for the afternoon’s main attraction.

“Also, earlier in the week on Wednesday, September 17, TBS and HBO Max will be live from London, Ontario for a special three-hour show — September to Remember — starting at 8 p.m. ET, featuring AEW’s biggest names in non-stop high-flying action as they set the stage for the signature pay-per-view event that weekend.”
