WWE WrestleMania 45 location potentially revealed
WWE is reportedly considering bringing WrestleMania back to New Orleans in 2029. According to Fightful, WWE and the city have placed a hold on the Superdome for spring 2029, potentially positioning the venue to host WrestleMania 45. New Orleans was originally scheduled to host WrestleMania 42 before WWE moved the event to Las Vegas, promising the city a future WrestleMania. The Superdome previously hosted WrestleMania 30 and 34. WrestleMania 43 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, remains the only officially confirmed future location, while Nashville has been linked with WrestleMania 44. Indianapolis is also owed a future WrestleMania under an existing agreement with WWE.
New Details Emerge On Asuka’s WWE Status Amid Lengthy Absence
Asuka reportedly remains under contract with WWE and continues to receive her regular pay despite being absent from television since her May 5 match against IYO SKY. Her apparent farewell to fans sparked speculation about a possible departure or retirement, but Fightful Select reports that she stepped away to deal with a family matter. WWE had reportedly planned to feature Asuka throughout 2026 but supported her decision to return home. There is currently no timetable for her return, and the report also confirms that her absence is unrelated to Kairi Sane’s release. The former four-time WWE Women’s Champion has now been sidelined for several months, with no indication of when she will resume competing.
WWE Hall of Famer Set For In-Ring Return After 11 Years
WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg is set to wrestle his first match in more than 11 years at Jeff Jarrett’s All-Star Super Slam on October 22 in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Road Dogg will team with Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal against QT Marshall, Elijah Drago and Brady Booker in the main event of the show, which celebrates Jarrett’s 40th anniversary in wrestling. His last official match came at the 2015 Royal Rumble, when the New Age Outlaws lost to The Ascension.
The announcement follows Billy Gunn’s earlier suggestion that Road Dogg’s physical condition would prevent him from wrestling again. Road Dogg left WWE’s SmackDown creative team earlier this year and was later linked to a potential TNA role, though no agreement was reached.
