Fred Ottman Provides Health Update
Former WWE and WCW star Fred Ottman has been released from hospital after being admitted earlier this week. The 70-year-old, best known as Tugboat, Typhoon and The Shockmaster, said doctors are continuing to investigate his health issues but confirmed that he is feeling better and heading home. Ottman thanked fans for their thoughts and prayers, describing 2026 as a “rough, rough year”. Earlier this year, he endured a lengthy hospital stay after his gallbladder ruptured, causing bile and infected material to leak into his body. Ottman was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 alongside Earthquake as The Natural Disasters.
CM Punk Says A Fractured Skull Left Him With Vertigo And He Has Wrestled Through It
CM Punk has revealed that he has wrestled matches while experiencing vertigo stemming from a fractured skull suffered earlier in his career. Appearing on Hot Ones Extra Heat, Punk explained that the injury affected bones in his inner ear responsible for equilibrium, leaving him with recurring bouts of vertigo. Punk said he has rarely discussed the condition publicly, but revealed it has affected him during matches that received fan praise, leaving him unsure what was happening while competing. He joked that he can now blame his “crooked” moonsault on the condition.
Janel Grant makes first public appearance following serious accident
Janel Grant has made her first public appearance since suffering a serious accident, receiving the 2026 Advocacy in Action Award from the Connecticut Alliance to End Sexual Violence. Grant, a former WWE employee who filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon in 2024 alleging physical and emotional abuse, sexual assault and sex trafficking, reflected on the appearance in an Instagram post. She said she is still recovering from her injuries, including a concussion, and revealed that the event marked only the seventh time she had been outside this year. Grant said she was overwhelmed by the realisation that she had nearly died and described herself as “grateful”, while thanking the community that supported her during her recovery.
