WWE Bringing SmackDown, Wrestlepalooza and Raw to Perth

WWE has announced a new three-year agreement with the Western Australian Government and Tourism Western Australia to hold annual WWE Weekend Takeovers in Perth from 2026 through 2028. The deal begins with Wrestlepalooza: Perth on December 12, 2026, at RAC Arena, alongside SmackDown on December 11 and Raw on December 14. WWE’s previous Perth events, Elimination Chamber in 2024 and Crown Jewel in 2025, reportedly generated more than AUD $58 million for Western Australia. The weekend will also feature fan experiences across Perth, including WWE Superstores, Superstar meet-and-greets and community activities.

“Nature Boy” Ric Flair Dealing With Health Issues

Ric Flair received the Cauliflower Alley Club’s highest honour, the “Iron” Mike Mazurki Award, during its annual reunion at the Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas from August 24–26. The 77-year-old two-time WWE Hall of Famer couldn’t attend in person because of health issues, but he delivered his acceptance speech live via video. Jerry Lawler introduced Flair during the ceremony, with Jimmy Hart also appearing on stage. Flair recently revealed on social media that he has been dealing with health problems.

Eddie Kingston gives health update after ‘little bit of a scare’

Eddie Kingston has confirmed he has been medically cleared to return to the ring after a health scare forced him out of last Saturday’s AEW Collision. Kingston was scheduled to face Claudio Castagnoli in a Continental Challenge Cup quarterfinal but was pulled after failing to receive clearance. Speaking during a media call, the 44-year-old said he feels “1000 times better” and has now been cleared, although he did not reveal the nature of the issue. Kingston is scheduled to make his CMLL and Arena Mexico debut against Hechicero for the CMLL Heavyweight Championship on Friday.
