TNA Impact Review – July, 13, 2026

What’s this? The app works? Well, I guess it’s time for another TNA Impact review. We are finishing up our taping from the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, PA. LeBron James is still not here, for that matter neither are former stars Allen Iverson, Clarence Weatherspoon, Hal Greer, Dolph Schayes, Wilt Chamberlain, Joel Embiid, Andrew Toney, Mike Gminski, Caldwell Jones, Bobby Jones, Julius Erving or even Darryl Dawkins (fun factoid: Dawkins was a celebrity judge at WrestleMania 2 for the boxing match between Roddy Piper and Mr. T.) However, Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt are here for the play-by-play announcing, Gia Miller has backstage interviews and McKenzie Mitchell lets us know who is who with ring announcing. Most importantly, you are here. So, let’s hit the lane and enjoy this slam dunk edition of some Impactful Discourse. Shall we? We shall.

Previously on Impact: We get highlights of the Xia Brookside vs. Wendy Choo Knockouts World Title match with Elayna Black sauntering ringside to menace the champ. We also get Nic Nemeeth backstage verbally accosting Jeff Hardy whilst Hardy is….painting.

The lead singer of the theme is ready for a fight and is ready for you (what if you don’t want to fight, though?)

We go right to Hannifan welcoming us and the main event of Nemeth vs. Hardy and immediately get the “ooooo, ooooo” and the crowd gets into the Ricky Sosa chant. Sosa does the accompanying dance to his theme but is interrupted by the obligatory warning buzzer and Alisha Edwards telling us that we can’t beat the System which heralds Brian Myers to the ring.

Myers immediately taunted Sosa and threw his shirt at him. Sosa immediately opened up the offense with a series of punches followed by a body slam and a senton. Sosa threatened the running uppercut but Myers bailed to the floor. Sosa followed suit but Myers got the upper hand and back suplexed Sosa into the apron. Myers threw Sosa back into the ring and mauled “The Young Savage” on the mat. Myers hit a crisp vertical suplex for a two count and then hit the chin lock (with the knee to the back for extra leverage.)

Myers taunted the crowd and went back to the chin lock. Sosa got to this feet and hit a spinning kick off the ropes and both competitors were prone on the mat. They both got to the mat but Sosa got the upper hand with two running forearm smashes to Myers in the corner. Sosa also reversed a throw to the corner, backflipped over Myers and hit a nice powerslam followed by an Asai Moonsault (which Sosa almost overleapt) for a two count.

Sosa got the crowd riled and signaled for the running uppercut. However, Bronson climbed onto the apron; only to be met with a running big boot by Sosa. Myers took advantage and hit a series of kicks and an elevated DDT for two-and-a-fraction. Myers set up Sosa for the Roster Cut (running lariat) but Sosa recovered to hit a big dropkick as Myers charged. Sosa got ready in the corner and readied himself for the running uppercut.

That is, until Cedric Alexander ran to the ring; however, Sosa connected the running uppercut on him. Myers again took advantage and hit a leaping neckbreacker. Bronson got back on the apron to distract the referee and Myers grabbed one of the TNA World Tag Team Belts and got ready to wallop Sosa. This brought out Leon Slater who grabbed the belt and taunted Myers from the floor. Myers turned around and NOW we get the Head Shot (running uppercut) for the win.

Post-Match: Slater actually grabbed the mic and addressed Alexander. Slater said the champion wasn’t going to get away this time. Two weeks ago, he challenged Alexander to a bout for the X-Division title at Lockdown. To everyone’s (sarcastic) surprise – Alexander said “no.” Slater said Alexander never backed down from a fight so Slater started thinking about why. It’s because deep down inside, Alexander isn’t anything but a scared little female dog. Slater is looking him in the eye and offering the challenge one more time and give whatever it takes.

Alexander (SCREAMING) ran down his accolades and why he isn’t afraid of Slater. But, Alexander said he will give him a title but with a stipulation – it’s title vs. history. If Slater wins, he gets the title; if Alexander wins, Slater’s title reign is erased from the record books. Slater looked very pensive about it and thought about it for a while. Slater said if that what he wants, he’ll get it and the match is set for Lockdown. Alexander said when Slater loses and he is erased from history; he has himself to blame.

We go backstage to Miller with Rich Swann and BDE. Tonight, the duo has a mystery partner to face Mustafa Ali, Agent Zero and John Skyler. The one stip is that the mystery partner can’t be Jason Hotch. When asked about how confident they are, Swann said he is confident and ready to go. He said Ali likes to run anything and used Hotch to promptly throw him away like a piece of trash.

BDE chimed in that it is someone that wants to face Ali – again. Ali did say anyone but Hotch. Swann said he has ear to the streets and that everyone will find out soon, so stay tuned.

We get the hype for the rest of the card tonight, including the six-man tag team match and the TNA World Title match, we get the “King’s” “Face of the Franchise” speech – after the break.

We come back from break to the recording studio with A J Francis. He re-introduced himself and asked the producer to start the beat as Francis will rap for us. The producer starts the beat but it’s the guitar strum and yup, here is Elijah. Francis tried to crucify the man but all it did was resurrect him. At Lockdown, there will be no encores, no lawyers just a steel cage. Not everyone who walks with Elijah gets to live the tale. Francis tried to escape the studio but the door was locked and when he turned to the mirror studio, it was his producer who asked if he was okay. Francis played it off and was able to open the door finally. Elijah stalked around the halls as we fade to black and get the announcement of the “Final Encore” match between the two.

Moose hits the ring and we get the “Face of the Franchise” speech, complete with Moose adorned in scarves (as was the mic.) Frankie Kazarian has his segment and inspired Moose to do the same. Moose snuck into Kazarian’s locker, looked in his bag and stole a bunch of his scarves and his cheap, gas station sunglasses. Moose said he looked like a d-bag. He tossed the glasses and scarves to the crowd.

Moose welcomed us to his segment and his special guest is…everyone in attendance tonight. He wanted to have some fun tonight. If the crowd knows the answers, feel free to yell it. Who is the Face of the Franchise? Moose. Who has been here more than a decade? Moose. Who single-handedly took out every single person in the system? Noose. Who is the three-time TNA World Champion? Moose. He saved the best for last – who is going to beat Frankie Kazarian’s glutes at Lockdown? Moose.

That brought out Kazarian. This game and everyone playing with it is stupid. A loud “Moose” chant emerged. He’ll play the stupid game. He is gong to ask some questions and everyone better respond “King.” Who is the real face of the franchise? The crowd chanted Moose but Kazarian corrected them? Who is the King of TNA? The crowd once again yelled Moose. Once again, Kazarian corrected them. He tried one more time. Who is going the last man standing at Lockdown? (you know the result.)

Kazarian said the difference that the difference is Kazarian is royalty and Moose is a failed football player. Kazarian is filet mignon and Moose is cheap gas station food like Wawa (cheap heat achieved.) Hannifan even took umbrage to that and a “Wawa” chant emerged. Moose interrupted Kazarian there is one thing to insult him but don’t insult his guests. If Kazarian stepped into the ring, Moose would punch him in the face.

Kazarian said he can do what he want and stepped into the ring. He said he was a failure at football and showed at Slammiversary, he was a failure as a husband. Moose promptly decked him and Kazarian dropped to the map. However, Moose missed a spear in the corner and Kazarian took advantage and beat on Kazarian. However, Kazarian got a chair and Moose managed to drop Kazarian with a tackle. By this point, the security squad hit the ring and separated the two. Kazarian bailed out of the ring and ran up the rampway. Moose soaked in the crowd chanting his theme.

We get the main event hype and hype for Eddie Edwards vs. K C Navarro and a semi-final match for the Knockouts TV Title Tournament with M by Elegance vs. Indi Hartwell. We also get the six-man tag match….after the break.

We come back to a video package of the Hardys vs. Nemeths battle of words with highlights from both teams cumulating with the announcement of the world tag title match at Lockdown between the two sets of brothers and intertwined with the main event tonight.

Order Four (with Mila Moore, Tasha Steelz and extra servicemen in tow) vs.. BDE, Rich Swan and…….

Order Four is out first (to their first theme) as Ali taunted the fans. All five struck the pose (some more fervently than the others.) Swann and BDE were next and got the crowd excited and danced down the aisles but stopped at the bottom of the ramp and pointed to the back for their partner. We see the graffiti tag and it’s…Trey Miguel. The crowd gave him a good pop and the faces soaked in the cheers of the audience.

Miguel and Ali started but Ali immediately tagged Skyler into the match. Miguel grabbed the upper hand with an armlock. Miguel immediately ran up the turnbuckles and hit a backflip off the top turnbuckle into an armdrag. He followed it with a flip reversal of a Skyler charge and hit a headscissors and a dropkick to send Skyler to the mat.

Miguel tagged Swann and all three faces got in the ring. Miguel hit an inverted atomic drop whilst Swann and BDE hit the ropes and tripped Skyler, Miguel followed it with a Muta Lock off the ropes whilst Swann and BDE hit a seated double dropkick. Swann and BDE also combined to hit an assisted flapjack (Swann hit the ropes and leapt to add extra force to BDE’s Flapjack.)

Agent Zero tagged and was met with a double superkick. Miguel added his own. The three faces hit a Dragon Gate Special triple dropkick (Swann adding a backflip before his.) Swann started to dance but Miguel saw Ali on the apron and hit a spring board kick to send Ali back to the floor. The Order regrouped on the floor but BDE grabbed Skyler and threw him back into the ring. Swann tagged but Skyler eye raked Swann into the corner. Skyler taunted the fans and that gave Swann time to recover and hit an enziguri.

However, Agent Zero grabbed Swann on the apron and choke slammed him. Zero mauled Swann in the corner and dropped him with a huge forearm. Zero grabbed Swann and held a prolonged Gorilla Press before hurling Swann into the corner. Ali tagged back into the match and continued to beat on Swann. Whilst Ali distracted the ref, Moore choked Swann on the ropes.

Swann tried to rally with a quick rollup but Ali escaped. Skyler tagged and mauled Swann into the corner. He also reversed a whip into the ropes and clotheslined the former TNA World Champion. Zero tagged back into the match and hit a huge leg drop. Zero continued to beat on Swann along the ropes and hit a vertical suplex out of the corner. Ali tagged back into the action but was met with a roundhouse kick. Ali immediately tagged Zero.

Swann tried to rally again but Zero backdropped Swann off the ropes. Zero continued to the mauling on the ropes and hit the Sit out swinging face buster side slam (think the East River Crossing into the End of Days.) Ali tagged into the match and tried for a powerbomb which Swann reversed into a hurincanrana off the ropes. Ali tagged Skyler but Swann managed to get the hope crawl and hot tag Miguel. Miguel cleaned house on Skyler with an enziguri off the apron and a missile dropkick off the top rope. Ali got back into the action and evaded a sliding kick but was met with the Rolling Trey (silng blade backbreaker) Skyler got a quick roll up but Miguel escaped. He kicked Miguel to the mat, backflipped over him and hit a dropkick to the back of Skyler’s head for a two count until Zero interrupted the pin.

Swann landed a roundhouse kick to Zero but hit the ropes for a springboad handspring move but Zero caught it and spiked Swann to the canvas. He also headbutted BDE, who leapt from the top turnbuckle. That was followed by a double chokeslam on the faces. Zero tried to chokeslam Miguel, but Miguel hit a step up enziguri and then avoided a charging Zero who went shoulder first into the ringspot. Miguel slid under the ropes and hit a tornado DDT on Skyler. Miguel threw Skyler into the ring, hit a scorpion kick and got the Lightning Spiral for the victory in his return to action.

Post-Match: Miguel celebrated in the ring but Zero got to his feet in the ring. Zero bided his time, grabbed Miguel and hit the double choke bomb. Zero attempted it again – at Ali’s urging but Hotch hit the ring and Zero retreated to the floor with Ali. Order Four hit a hasty retreat up the rampway.

We go backstage as Brookside is verbally accosting a make up person who completely ruined something and demanded it be fixed..and that was it??? Ummm..okay…

Never mind that, here is the A-Game hydrationTNA Injury Report. Hotch is dealing with lower back pain and stiffness, despite that, he is cleared for action. Miguel is cleared for action (one doesn’t say..) Hannifan also said that this about the time Rehwoldt talks over him and gives a status report on Nic Nemeth. Rehwoldt agreed and that Nemeth is still in pristine condition ahead of his match with Jeff Hardy tonight.

We get the rest of the card and a semi-final bout in the TNA Knockout TV title tournament – after the break.

We come back and Brookside is getting the makeup reapplied, we go in very tight on her eyes (a nice silver and purple scheme,) she opens her eyes and checks the mirror and it is almost clown-like. Brookside started screaming until Elayna Black walks into the shot with a make up brush. Brookside asked if this was Black’s doing? The two started to argue and it runed into shoving and then punches. Brookside threw Black into a barricade. Black dropped to the floor and Brookside ran out of the shot.

TNA Knockouts TV Title Tournament Semi Final: M by Elegance (with the By Elegance Brand in tow) vs. Indi Hartwell

M headed to the ring first with Heather helping the Personal Concierge down to the ring. Hartwell was next with a sizable pop. She shook hands with the ringside fans. As she posed in the ring, M delivered a small shoulder block and went to the other side. Hartwell immediately took advantage at the bell by hitting a series of clotheslines to M in the corner. M avoided a corner charge by Hartwell and now it was M’s turn to unload on Hartwell in the corner.

Hartwell tried to curtail the offense but M stopped a whip into the ropes with her boot. However, when M tried to hit the rope assisted big boot, Hartwell was ready and caught it. M tried to break loose but Hartwell was persistent. Eventually, M grabbed the rope and finally kicked Hartwell to the mat. M followed it with a dropkick and then hit a series of shoulder blocks in the corner to Hartwell’s abdomen. Into the corner, Hartwell avoided hitting the turnbuckles and leapt over M, who did crash. Hartwell followed it with a clothesline and a bulldog for a two-count.

With M draped on the ropes. Hartwell leapt onto the apron and hit a forearm uppercut and a big boot. She climbed to the top turnbuckle and signaled for the elbow drop. M recovered and kicked Hartwell. M went to the apron and grabbed Hartwell and draped her upside down on the ropes and hit the drive by kick that dropped Hartwell to the floor. M put the boots to Hartwell on the floor as a “let’s go Indi” chant emerged. M taunted the fans and chopped away on Hartwell on the floor and threw her into the apron.

M taunted the fans again and hit a vertical suplex onto the floor. M threw Hartwell back into the ring for a two count. M choked Hartwell on the ropes with her boot. The crowd started to chant for Hartwell again as M took umbrage to it. She ran Hartwell to the corner and put the boots to her for another two count. M worked the back of Hartwell using her knee as extra leverage. It also gave her a chance to taunt Hartwell.

M continued to work the torso but a springboard reverse body press off the ropes got nothing but canvas and Hartwell started her rally. M missed another charge into the corner and Hartwell hit a clothesline and then a spinebuster for a two count. Hartwell put the puts to M and climbed to the top rope as an “Indi” chant emerged. M met her at the top and two started to brawl with Indi getting the better of it and threw M to the mat. A flying elbowdrop got another two count.

Hartwell hit a running boot that sent M through the ropes and to the floor. Hartwell continued to beat on M but coming down the ramp was the continuation of the Brookside vs. Black backstage brawl. Security and the referees followed the two through the barricade and into the audience. Meanwhile, M recovered and threw Hartwell into the ring steps and threw Hartwell back into the ring. M climbed to the top rope and hit the moonsault (with a handful of trunks) to get the victory and advancement to the finals of the tournament.

Post-Match: The Elegance Brand celebrated on the floor with the PC getting on his knees for thanks.

We go right away to footage from October 2023 in the United Kingdom and voice over narration by Harley Hudson. Joe Hendry announced the winner of the Impact Gut Check in England – Hudson. She was in tears in her post-match interview. Hudson wrestled 180 matches in 2024 but knew she always wanted to go to the U.S. She talked about leaving her family – her biggest fans – and talked about getting in Impact. She broke down again as she talked about what has happened since she got here. She turned to Daria Rae’s announcement that she was on the chopping block, she knew she couldn’t let everyone down. She talked about beating Alisha Edwards next week. It’s nothing personal but she has to beat her.

Speaking of the Edwards’, Eddie is in action – after the break.

We come back to breaking news – Moose was found face down and unresponsive in the locker room (that would have been good for the Injury report, gang.) Hannifin speculated who might have done this and pivots to his match against Kazarian at Lockdown.

Eddie Edwards (with Alisha Edwards in tow) vs. K C Navarro

It’s the warning buzzer and Alisha one more time as Eddie made his way to the ring. Navarro is next and is greeted by fans, including his mom, grandmother and step-dad. Navarro threw his jacket at Edwards. Navarro went right to work as the bell rang and superkicked a charging Edwards. He also tripped a charging Edwards into the ropes and set him for the 305 (the 619 but over the ropes.) Navarro teased the Blessing in Disguise (Navarro’s finisher, a half-nelson somersault reverse DDT) but Edwards retreated to the floor.

Undaunted, Navarro dove between the ropes and dropped Edwards. Navarro threw Edwards into the ring and a frog splash from the top got a two count. Navarro attempted the Blessing In Disguise again but Alisha made her way to the corner and grabbed his leg. Edwards tried to capitalize on the distraction but Navarro evaded Edwards’ corner splash. However, Edwards evaded Navarro’s dive and Navarro went shoulder first into the ringpost. Edwards launched Navarro shoulder first in the opposite ringpost. Edwards did it again for good measure.

Edwards grabbed a chinlock off a snapmare. Navarro escaped as the crowd broke into a “K C Navarro” chant to “Seven Nation Army.” But, Edwards met Navarro went an enziguri in the corner. Navarro regained the momentum as he reversed a backpack stunner and hit a twisting DDT off the ropes. Meanwhile, Alisha Edwards threw a shoe into the ring. The referee admonished Alisha but that gave Eddie time to grab a kendo stick. Navarro saw it and blocked it. He grabbed the stick and hit Edwards in the abdomen (all this with the referee distracted.) With Eddie doubled over in pain. Navarro got ready and NOW we get the Blessing in Disguise for the win.

Post-Match: Bronson and Myes hit the ring and the System components mauled Navarro. Myers grabbed a chair under the ring and set it up on Navarro’s neck. Edwards leapt to the second rope but before he could leap, Fabian Aichner, Jada Stone and Sosa ran to the ring with plunder to ward off the System. That brought out Santino Marella. He doesn’t like the use of weapons – they make him feel uneasy and get the Stegeeels (sp?) But, there will be a time and place for weapons – Lockdown. It will be the Lethal Lockdown match between the Edwards, Bronson, and Myers versus Aichner, Sosa, Stone and Navarro.

The TNA World title is up for grabs in our main event; and, it is…..after the break.

Next Week: Swann battles Mr. Elegance, we get the other semi-final for the Knockouts TV title as Heather by Elegance battles Jada Stone, and the team advantage for the Lethal Lockdown match is on the line as Aichner and Myers. Hudson and Alisha Edwards do battle and the Hardys, Elijah and Moose battle the Nemeths, Kazarian and Francis.

We go backstage to Allie looking for Rosemary. She comes across a message on a mirror “The struggle is real.” We cut back to Hannifan and Rehwoldt giving us the tale of the tape between Hardy and Nemeth.

TNA World Title Match: Jeff Hardy vs. Nic Nemeth

Hardy is next to his own music (not the standard Hardys theme.) Rehwoldt talked about Hardy and what has happened since the “Righteous Deletion” Match a few weeks ago. Nemeth is next and strutted down to the ring to the ecstatic screams of one fan seated near the rampway. Hardy got a huge reception during the ring announcements. After the ring introductions, we go to break.

When we return, Hardy got the crowd riled as the bell rang. A lockup was a stalemate. The two shoved each other but Hardy grabbed a headlock. Nemeth reversed it and grabbed an armlock. Hardy reapplied the headlock. Hardy blocked a kick and landed one of his own as he tried to hit the Twist of Fate. Nemeth escaped and bailed to the ropes as a “let’s go, Hardy” chant emerged. Nemeth grabbed a takedown from his amateur days and started to roll Hardy into a cradle for a two count. Nemeth taunted Hardy and hit a standing dropkick that dropped one-half of the tag champs.

Nemeth continued to maul Hardy on the ropes until Hardy reversed and ran Nemeth into three of the corners On the fourth, Nemeth blocked it and kicked Hardy. Undaunted, Hardy regained the upper hand and did run Nemeth into the last turnbuckle. Hardy traded for a submission move but Nemeth blocked it and booted Hardy. Nemeth dragged Hardy along the top rope and badmouthed Hardy. He choked Hardy again on the ropes and ran Hardy into the corner.

Nemeth continued to beat on Hardy until Hardy rolled a punch. An inverted kick sent Nemeth between the ropes and to the floor. Hardy did his dance on the apron and hit a flying clothesline off the apron to the floor as a “TNA” chant emerged. Hardy slapped hands with the fans and grabbed a steel chair for a moment. Thinking wiser, he put it down and ran Nemeth into the ring steps. Hardy threw Nemeth back into the ring and hit a reverse seated dropkick for a two count and the Philadelphia crowd chanted they wanted tables. Rehwoldt admonished the crowd that they were at the wrong arena and this is north Philadelphia.

Nemeth meanwhile, got the upper hand and repeatedly rammed Hardy into the turnbuckles. Nemeth strutted and taunted the fans. A leaping elbow drop got a two count. Hardy started to rally with a series of punches and shoulder rams into the torso. Hardy climbed to the top for the Whisper in the Wind but Nemeth recovered and ran into Hardy draping Hardy over the turnbuckles into the Tree of Woe. Nemeth measured Hardy and hit a dropkick in the corner.

Nemeth strutted and taunted the fans again. He boot raked Hardy and then grabbed the chinlock. A “Let’s go, Hardy” chant emerged as Hardy gradually made his way to his feet. Nemeth booted Hardy to quell the rally and beat on Hardy in the corner. Another strut and leaping elbow drop got the earlier result and Nemeth grabbed another chinlock and a double eye rake.

However, Nemeth prolonged his taunting of the fans and Hardy made him pay as Hady dodged a corner charge and Nemeth landed in sitting position on the turnbuckles. Hardy beat on Nemeth and a series of clotheslines dropped Nemeth. Hardy then hit the Inverted dropkick; wishbone leg drop and seated dropkick combination. A Hardy leaping elbow drop got a two count.

Hardy attempted the Spinal Destination submission but Nemeth escaped. Nemeth threw Hardy shoulder first into the ringpost. Nemeth measured Hardy and hit the jumping DDT for two-and-a-fraction. Nemeth continued to taunt Hardy and worked the leg. However, another leaping DDT was reversed into a powerbomb by Hardy for two count (a “Ref, you suck” chant emerged.) Hardy attempted a Twist of Fate but Nemeth escaped. A second attempt Twist of Fate was blocked and Nemeth came back with a superkick for a two count. Hardy tried for a quick roll up off the cover by Nemeth.

Nemeth hit the ropes and attempted the Danger Zone but Hardy blocked it. Nemeth charged again and NOW Hardy hit the Twist of Fate. Hardy removed his shirt and made his way to the top turnbuckle to a huge ovation. However, the Swanton Bomb was met with Nemeth’s knees for two-and-a-fraction. A “TNA” chant emerged as Nemeth got to his feet. However, Hardy blocked a superkick and went for the Twist of Fate one more time. That proved to be disastrous as Nemeth reversed that and NOW hit the Danger Zone for the win and the title defense.

Post-Match: TNA President Carlos Silva presented the title to Nemeth who grimaced as his arm was raised in victory. Nemeth posed in the corner as Hannifan speculated if Nemeth will leave Lockdown as a double champion as we go off the air.

Impactful Ruminations:

One: When you run out of quality challengers, the main event is what you get. I am maybe a bigger fan of Nemeth than most. He did his best carrying Hardy to a decent main event match tonight. However, he has been around for so long now, you know what you are going to get. His moves are crisp but there has been so little deviation in his ring style over the years that one gets tired quickly. The mic work is there but it is the same variations of promos. If there were a national food chain of wrestling, he would be it. You know what you get and it is fine but if you want something with new flavor or style, you go to another restaurant. I have spoken ad infintum about Hardy. He just does not appeal to me and was put in there so there was something for them to do versus something new like, say Navarro.

Two: The quality of shows has gotten better from a production standpoint. That is one thing I will say. There are no more weird glitches or mistakes.

Three: Having read the spoilers, I knew the outcome of the M by Elegance match. I could see her becoming new Knockouts TV champ very clearly. She routinely checks all the boxes for stardom in the business. I do wonder how this translates if she does win the title; or if not, would backfiring interference drive a wedge in the Brand? M is someone they really could build their division.

Four: Speaking of women, Hudson delivered a good face backstory. It is similar to what she presented last year when she debuted on the main roster (without Myla Grace.) If she could round out the character and give more than just one style of promo (determined underdog) she might be someone else to replenish the faces side in the Knockouts division.

Five: I don’t know what they are going to do with Hartwell. A possible angle would be her constantly falling just short and not knowing what to do – only to turn her heel. At this point, she is spinning her wheels and really not gaining anywhere.

Six: Is it a telling point that the six-man-tag match was predominantly Swann and Miguel? I don’t recall BDE tagging for any sense of time. How much do we continue on his “when will he win a match” angle? The flips and dives are fine but that is really it. Is this a lost cause? On the bright side, Miguel looked great after a prolonged injury rehab. I do worry about him being injury prone but this was a nice comeback.

Seven: We all complain when Alexander yells every word of his interview. Here is another problem. After last week’s fantastic promo, he went back to yelling this week. I know it was in an arena but there is something else to it. If there as a time to yell a promo, it is this one to show how desperate and how low you will go to erase Slater. The problem is, when you always yell, you take away the gravitas of points that should be said in a loud manner – like this week.

Eight: The Black and Brookside brawl was silly. Even worse, it falls to one my least favorite tropes- backstage brawls that spill into another match into the ring. It takes away from the match already progressing and I think it shows a lack of faith in the wrestlers in the ring. Even more confusing, the two in the ring are ones I would have faith for a good match.

Nine: Brian Myers is a great pin eater for the System. It is almost like Ryan Nemeth only more serious.

10: Don’t just film there, camera person; help Moose. Get help, get the report to the Injury Report. I mean, do something.

11: Moose and Kazarian are true professionals and trying to get us to care to take a rooting interest in their match. It is not quite working but again, this feud is something to keep them going. The interview segment was okay. Kazarian is another wrestler who fits the national chain metaphor – you know what you get but nothing with any new flavoring to it.

12: Great, now Elijah has supernatural powers to resurrect himself and to be seen in places only his enemies can see – I guess it’s One Elijah Nation.

13: “The struggle is real.” Is that a hint for Rosemary’s whereabouts or my interest in undead realm stuff.
