Brock Lesnar Announces Retirement

Brock Lesnar took to the Pat McAfee show yesterday to officially announce his wrestling retirement. This comes just days after he and Oba Femi main-evented SummerSlam 2026 Night One in his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota, where “The Beast” lost to “The Ruler” in their rubber match after Femi defeated Lesnar at WrestleMania 42, and Lesnar defeated Femi at Clash in Italy.

Wrestling Legend Dory Funk Jr Passes Away at 85

The wrestling world is mourning the late Dory Funk Jr., who passed away yesterday at 85. Funk Jr. was the brother of Terry Funk and the son of Dory Funk Sr., and he is best remembered for his dominant reign as the NWA World Heavyweight Champion, defeating Gene Kiniski on February 11, 1969, in Tampa, Florida, to capture the belt, and losing it to Harley Race on May 24, 1973, in Kansas City, Kansas. His impressive 4-year run was the second-longest single reign with the title, with Lou Thesz’s six-year run from November 1949 until March 1955 still holding the number one spot.

Major WWE and UFC Events Coming to Arizona

The 2027 Royal Rumble venue has been announced, as next year’s rumble will take place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The Desert Diamond Arena, also in Glendale, will host the Noche UFC event on September 12, 2026, the PBR World Finals from May 20-23, 2027, and a Zuffa Boxing event which has yet to have a specific date announced.
