By Conor Renshaw on 29 July 2026

It’s Wednesday, and it’s time for the Morning Daily News Update!

CM Punk Reveals What Will Decide His WWE Retirement

CM Punk says he has no retirement timetable and will continue wrestling for as long as his health allows. Speaking on WWE Radio ahead of SummerSlam, the Undisputed WWE Champion said he believes retirement will be determined by how his body feels rather than his contract or match count, adding that he plans to wrestle until “the wheels fall off.” Punk also revealed he feels better than ever after placing a greater emphasis on recovery and said he is excited to defend his title against Cody Rhodes, praising Rhodes’ journey back to the top of WWE.

Logan Paul Insists Becoming WWE Champion Is Inevitable

Logan Paul says he has no doubt that he will become WWE Champion, insisting winning the company’s top prize is inevitable despite falling short in previous World Championship matches against Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. Speaking on IMPAULSIVE, the former United States Champion said he did not join WWE simply to participate but to “take over,” adding that becoming WWE Champion would allow him to be “unshackled” and say and do whatever he wants. While Paul has yet to win a world title, he remains confident that championship gold is only a matter of time.

Eric Bischoff Wants WWE To Build A Kids Show Around Danhausen

Eric Bischoff believes WWE should create a standalone, child-focused wrestling show aimed at six- to 12-year-olds, with Danhausen serving as its central star. Speaking on 83 Weeks, Bischoff argued the programme should feature its own roster, dedicated writing team and only occasional appearances from Raw or SmackDown stars, allowing it to appeal directly to younger fans without trying to satisfy adult audiences. He also suggested the show should be distributed on youth-focused platforms rather than Netflix and admitted he would have previously dismissed the idea of Danhausen leading such a project, saying he now believes it could be a major success.
