Good morning, everyone.
It’s Monday, I hope you all had a great weekend, but it’s time for the Morning Daily News Update!
Jake Roberts Reveals He’s Left AEW
Jake “The Snake” Roberts has confirmed he is no longer employed by AEW, bringing his five-year run with the promotion to an end. Speaking with Bill Apter, the WWE Hall of Famer praised Tony Khan, describing him as “a breath of fresh air” and saying he loved his time with the company. Roberts, who primarily served as Lance Archer’s manager during his AEW tenure, did not reveal when his contract ended or why he departed, but indicated the two sides parted on good terms.
Latest Update Emerges On CM Punk’s Reported Issues With WWE
Recent reports have fuelled speculation about CM Punk’s status in WWE, although neither the Wrestling Observer nor Fightful Select has confirmed the rumours. Dave Meltzer reported there have been minor issues involving Punk dating back to his World Heavyweight Championship loss at WrestleMania, while Fightful stated it has heard similar speculation but could not verify any specific details.
Meltzer also claimed WWE’s original plan for SummerSlam was for Punk to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship before Sami Zayn’s title win at Night of Champions changed those plans. Adding to the speculation, Punk is not advertised for Monday’s Raw in Chicago on WWE’s website, despite being included in promotional material from the Allstate Arena. Neither WWE nor Punk has commented publicly on the reports.

Charlotte Flair Pays Tribute To Fan Scarlett Guillen
Charlotte Flair has paid tribute to eight-year-old fan Scarlett Guillen, who passed away after battling diffuse midline glioma, a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer. In an emotional social media post, Flair reflected on meeting Scarlett through fellow wrestler MJ Jenkins, saying the young fan taught her valuable lessons about courage, gratitude and cherishing every moment. Flair said Scarlett’s legacy would live on through the people she touched, calling her “our butterfly” and “our diamond girl.” A GoFundMe has also been launched to help cover Scarlett’s funeral and memorial expenses, with any remaining funds supporting her sister, Elena.
