Morning Daily News Update: June 10, 2026 – Konnan Undergoes Double Leg Amputation

By Conor Renshaw on 10 June 2026

Good morning, all!

It’s Wednesday, and it’s time for the Morning Daily News Update!

We’ve also got Niz’s review of last night’s WWE NXT episode to check out!

Vince Russo Reveals Konnan Has Undergone A Double Leg Amputation, WWE Covered All Medical Bills

Vince Russo has revealed that wrestling veteran Konnan has undergone a double leg amputation following severe health complications. Speaking on The Coach and Bro, Russo said Konnan recently had his second leg removed after previously undergoing one amputation earlier this year and is now undergoing intensive rehabilitation. Russo also shared that Konnan told him WWE has paid all of his medical expenses, despite his having worked with the company only in a limited capacity in recent years through its relationship with AAA. Russo praised WWE’s support, noting the enormous cost of Konnan’s treatment and recovery, which he estimated at more than $1 million.

MJF Drops Latest Update On Knee Injury

MJF has provided a positive update on the hyperextended knee he suffered during his AEW World Championship match against Rush on Dynamite. In a video posted on Instagram, MJF said the inflammation in his left knee has decreased significantly since the injury, although he is still experiencing pain and swelling. He credited cold-plunge therapy for speeding up his recovery and expressed confidence that it could help him avoid missing ring time. The injury forced MJF to withdraw from a scheduled Beyond Wrestling appearance against Bobby Orlando, where he was replaced by Andrade El Idolo, but he remains hopeful of returning to full strength quickly.

Backstage Update On AJ Lee Amid WWE Absence

AJ Lee is not expected to return to WWE television in the immediate future, according to WrestleVotes Radio, although a future comeback has not been ruled out. Lee has been absent since losing the Women’s Intercontinental Championship to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 42. Despite being moved to free-agent status on WWE’s roster page, Lee made it clear after WrestleMania that she does not view the event as a farewell, telling fans, “This is not goodbye. But I’ll see you soon. I hope.” There is currently no timetable for her next WWE appearance.

Nikki Bella Provides Positive Injury Update

Nikki Bella has shared an encouraging update on her recovery from the ankle injury that has sidelined her since March. Speaking on The Nikki & Brie Show, Bella revealed she decided against travelling to Tuscany to meet sister Brie Bella during WWE’s European tour so she could focus on rehabilitation at home. Nikki said she has received positive feedback throughout her recovery, noting that her ankle is getting stronger and “everything looks great.” She is also scheduled for new X-rays ahead of schedule and plans to return to the ring soon to test how her ankle feels, with all signs pointing toward continued progress in her comeback journey.
