Good morning, everyone!

It’s Friday! The weekend is upon us! And it’s also time for the Morning Daily News Update!

Asuka Breaks Silence On WWE Future

Asuka has addressed growing speculation surrounding her future following her recent loss to Iyo Sky at Backlash and her emotional farewell-style segment on WWE Raw. In a new YouTube video, Asuka confirmed that she had spoken privately with WWE about her situation but stopped short of announcing her retirement. The former Women’s Champion said rumours about leaving WWE, returning to Japan, or ending her career were largely tied to personal matters.

While acknowledging fans have questioned whether they will see her wrestle again, Asuka insisted she still feels capable of performing at the highest level. She also hinted that part of stepping away temporarily was to stop fans from taking her constant presence for granted. Asuka emphasised that she remains officially signed with WWE and teased that she could unexpectedly reappear at any time, while also promising to become more active on social media.

Kota Ibushi Gives Update On Recovery; Asks For Help On Bold New Project

Kota Ibushi has admitted his in-ring future remains uncertain following the serious leg injury he suffered in AEW last year, but says he now wants to dedicate himself to helping save the future of Japanese wrestling. Ibushi broke his femur during a match against Josh Alexander on AEW Collision in October 2025 and recently revealed the bone still has not fully healed. In a new Instagram video, the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion acknowledged that a comeback currently “seems unlikely” as he approaches his 44th birthday.

Ibushi then turned his attention to the upcoming closure of Tokyo’s famous Shinjuku FACE venue, which has hosted wrestling events for more than two decades. Calling the situation a “crisis” for professional wrestling in Japan, Ibushi announced plans to build a new wrestling venue himself to help independent promotions survive. To fund the project, Ibushi said he is actively looking for work of any kind and has opened his direct messages to potential opportunities, even though he admitted he is currently unable to wrestle due to his injury.

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Ticket Sales Surpass 10,000 Distributed

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event is reportedly trending toward a strong crowd in Fort Wayne, Indiana, this weekend. According to WrestleTix, more than 10,000 tickets have already been distributed for the show at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum, with sales increasing by nearly 400 tickets over the past day. The current total is significantly higher than WWE’s previous 2024 event at the venue, which distributed just over 5,600 tickets.

Standard tickets are currently starting around $66, while nearly 700 resale tickets remain available. WWE’s year-to-date event average currently sits at roughly 11,400 distributed tickets, including major shows such as the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. The announced card includes Penta defending the Intercontinental Championship against Ethan Page, The Vision defending the World Tag Team Championships against The Street Profits, and Becky Lynch facing Sol Ruca in a non-title match.

Adventure Media Signs WWE Star Danhausen For Film Television Digital And Publishing Expansion

Danhausen has reportedly signed with Adventure Media for representation across multiple entertainment fields outside wrestling. According to Deadline, the company will help expand Danhausen’s brand into film, television, digital media, publishing, and other business ventures. Since debuting for WWE at Elimination Chamber earlier this year, Danhausen has quickly become one of WWE’s biggest breakout stars and top merchandise sellers.

He also made his WrestleMania debut in April during a segment involving John Cena and The Miz. Outside of wrestling, Danhausen’s popularity has grown significantly through appearances on ESPN, including viral segments involving the Cleveland Cavaliers and SportsCenter. Adventure Media represents several major creators and athletes and has increasingly expanded into sports and wrestling-related media projects.
