Some People In WWE Believe Brock Lesnar Will Wrestle Again

There is mixed belief within WWE about Brock Lesnar’s status following WrestleMania 42, with some viewing his in-ring exit as a genuine retirement while others expect him to return for one final match, potentially at SummerSlam. Reports indicate uncertainty internally, with even WWE sources unsure of his plans, while his decision to leave his gear in the ring was a surprise to many. It was also noted that his match with Oba Femi was originally intended to lead to a longer feud before being changed to a one-off.

WWE Brought In Talent For WrestleMania 42 That Never Appeared On The Show

Several independent wrestlers were brought in as standby talent for WrestleMania 42 but ultimately did not appear on the show. Names including Emily Jaye, J Rod, Blair Onyx, Brittnie Brooks and Nixi XS were reportedly backstage and ready if needed, a common practice for WWE during WrestleMania weekend. While they were not used on the main show, many still competed across various independent events in Las Vegas, while others were utilised for fan-focused appearances at WWE World. The report also noted that additional unnamed talent were brought in for similar purposes.

John Cena Promises Something “Special” For WWE Backlash

John Cena has teased a major appearance at WWE Backlash on May 9, saying he plans to do “something epic” for fans in Tampa. Although Cena has stepped away from full-time in-ring competition, he remains involved with WWE following WrestleMania 42, where he served as host and appeared in key segments. Cena noted he had promised Club WWE something special for Backlash, continuing his ambassador role with the company under his current long-term deal, which includes appearances, mentoring talent, and promoting WWE.

Billy Gunn Discusses Wrestling Retirement: ‘I’m Still Having Fun’

Billy Gunn says he has no set retirement timeline and will continue wrestling as long as he is enjoying it. Speaking in a recent interview, Gunn admitted he has no desire to wrestle into his 70s, but left the door open, saying it is “possible” if he is still having fun. He added that he now performs without pressure and focuses on entertaining the crowd. At 62, Gunn acknowledged he is beginning to slow down slightly, but remains active in the ring while also balancing other commitments, including his work outside AEW.
