Evening Daily News Update: April 20, 2026

Good evening, doomers, and welcome to the Raw After Mania Evening Daily News Update! Well, WrestleMania sure was a roller coaster of emotions (with plenty of ad breaks for us to utilize the facilities, grab a snack, put together some MTG decks), and as usual, one night was received with overwhelming positivity while another sure didn’t feel like a stand-alone “biggest show of the year” effort. CM Punk and Roman Reigns delivered one of the best WWE matches in a long time, especially one without the crutch of run-in antics and gaga. I wish I could be as positive for Cody/Orton, which felt like two scripts were produced and mashed together without someone proof-reading it before sending them out there.
Anyway, we’re moving on with the Raw After Mania, some NBA Playoff Action (Knicks looking to go up 2-0 vs Atlanta), and the miserable Mets are off, which means their 11-game losing streak survives into Tuesday evening.
Catch up on some BOD content, with Maffew’s coverage of AJPW on Nippon TV from March 2000, Rock Star Gary’s recap of the June 1st, 1985 episode of World Championship Wrestling, Jabroniville has Joshi Spotlight featuring Miho Wakizawa, and Logan’s World Was Watching the December 19th, 1994 episode of WWE Raw.
WWE Monday Night Raw Preview:
We have the Fallout of WrestleMania 42, which means appearances from our new Champions and… that’s all we know. Maybe there will be a debut, maybe some thrown together matches, we shall find out at 8pm ET on Netflix.
