By Kat Bourne on 7 February 2026
Good evening, Doomsters! I hope you’re having the Saturday night you deserve.
Tonight, AEW presents Collision at 8 pm ET on TNT and HBO Max. TNT Champion Tommaso Ciampa defends against both Roderick Strong and Claudio Castagnoli. In addition, we have an eight-man parking lot brawl and several other matches as well as promised words from MJF.
Meanwhile over on YouTube, WWE presents Lucha Libre AAA at 9 pm ET. AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio kicks off the show plus we’ll have AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions Ethan Page & Chelsea Green defending against Mr. Iquana & Lola Vice.
The Blog of Doom writing spotlight shines on Niz today. Niz reviewed last night’s SmackDown which was one of the better SmackDowns of the year.
Former WWE Champion, NXT Champion, and eight-time Tag Champion Big E has confirmed his retirement on Twitter while saying how it feels to wake function normally and without pain. Good for him, he deserves that. I highly recommend reviewing his Players’ Tribute article. He is easily one of the best human beings to grace the wrestling world.
Charlotte Flair: I Think Any Given Year the Women Can Main Event WrestleMania
I agree and a few of them in particular could be built up into that level of story, but I think they also like having them in the “drawing in the viewers” opening match that is just as important to the streaming services nowadays. There’s certainly an argument that Rhea Ripley, for example, could main event the show and I am sure some people are ready to argue in the comments section about the idea.
That’s your Saturday news. Head into the comments and have some civil discussions about wrestling, football, or your grocery list. Michael will be back with your morning scoop and I’ll see you tomorrow night!
