TNA Impact Review – January 22, 2026

By Scott Herrin on 23 January 2026

Okay, Genesis is in the rear window and we start week two of the AMC era. This time, we took the right turn to Albuquerque, New Mexico (kids ask your parents or grandparents for the reference.) We find ourselves at Tingley Coliseum. So, no need to call Saul because we have Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt announcing this week and Gia Miller and McKenzie Mitchell doing the backstage and ring announcing. So, grab yourself a chicken Burrito from Los Pollos Hermanos and let’s engage in some Impactful discourse. Shall we? We shall.

Side Note: I appreciate the respect and kindness from my fellow reviewers and writers. Show them some love, too, if you could, by reading the reviews of such programs as NXT, Evolve, Collision, Dynamite, Smackdown and Raw as well as the other writings covering wrestling in the past and International wrestling from Japan and all points in the world. Thanks to our fearless leader and his reviews and writings. They are all great writers and I draw inspiration from them. Thank you.

Previously on Impact, technically Genesis, we get highlights of the Mike Santana vs. Frankie Kazarian rematch and the Nick Nemeth botched attempt at a Call Your Shot cash in redemption.

Something new, we see Hannifan and Rehwoldt standing at ringside. They introduce TNA President Carlos Silva, who said this past was a lot of hard work but everyone brought it for the AMC debut and for the Genesis pay per view. He was proud of everyone. Rehwoldt wants to keep the training going with the opening match.

Cedric Alexander vs. Moose (with Alisha Edwards in tow)

Rehwoldt said this was a rematch stemming from the match at Genesis. Alexander headed out first to a decent pop. Moose is next as the crowd regaled him with the “Moose” chant to his theme. Hannifan also brought up the fact Moose dealt with an injured back sustained in the match at Genesis. Sportsmanship is observed and we are under way.

Moose backed Alexander into the corner but Alexander dodged a chop and met Moose with a chop to his own, which Moose no sold. Moose regained the advantage with a series of chops in the corner. However, Moose climbed the turnbuckle for the 10 turnbuckle punch spot but Alexander escaped and grabbed Moose’s leg, sending him face first into the turnbuckle.

Moose regained the momentum with a dropkick off the ropes. Moose, still favoring his back, and Alexander brawled on the apron. Moose got the better of it until Alexander ducked a clothesline and hit a modified urinagi on the apron. Moose clutched his back but continued to fight, hitting a big boot to a charging Alexander on the floor. Moose tried for a powerbomb on the apron, but Alexander got his feet on the apron and escaped. He hit Moose with a penalty kick and then dove between the ropes to hit a flying dive on Moose.

Alexander continued to attack until Moose ran Alexander into the ring steps. Moose attempted a suplex but Alexander blocked them. Moose got the advantage bac by hitting another big boot but Alexander reversed another suplex into one of his own on the floor. Edwards went to check on Moose as Alexander threw Moose back into the ring and climbed to the top. Alexander hit a frog splash for a two count.

The crowd tried to rally Moose but Alexander continued his attack with two penalty kicks to the back of Moose’s head for a two count. Moose tried to rally by chopping Alexander but Alexander recovered with a boot from the apron and then a between the ropes diving Flatliner for a two count.

Moose tried to rally once more and..umm…Moosed up as Alexandre continued to hit Moose. Moose hit a big boot and then chained together a back elbow into the corner, an Urinagi and a Senton off the ropes. Moose still sold the back but continued the fight. Alexander caught a charging Moose with two feet in the corner but Moose no sold it and hit the Go To Hell (Baldo Bomb.) It got Moose a two count.

Moose made it to his feet first and attempted a corner spear but Alexander moved and Moose hit the ring post. Alexander tried for a lumbar check but Moose blocked it. Moose hit the ropes but Alexander hit him with a Michinoku Driver for a two count. Both combatants arose and chopped away on the other (Moose still grabbed his back on the chops.) However, a discus clothesline from Moose was blocked into a forearm shiver by Alexander. Alexander clotheslined Alexander but Moose stayed on his feet.

After a series of attempts, Alexander hit the ropes but Moose met him with a big boot. Moose hit the ropes but Alexander met him with a Spanish Fly for two-and-a-fraction. Alexander hit the ropes and attending a springboard leap but was met with a headbutt by Moose. Moose attempted a spear but Alexander got a sunset flip for two and then reversed another Moose urinagi with a arm drag. Moose and Alexander traded pin attempts but Moose managed to pick up Alexander for a Powerbomb but Alexander reversed it into a hurincanrana for the victory.

Post Match: Alexander celebrated in the ring as the camera caught a very dejected Alisha Edwards who walked away whilst Moose arose and shook Moose’s hand. We walk away to commercials.

When we return, we get Santana’s chryon as Santana made his way through the concourse and into the stands and the crowd mobbed him. He walked around the concourse and down the steps to ringside. Santana grabbed a chair from under the ring and slid it into the ring. The crowd still continued to cheer as Santana set up the chair, grabbed the mic and sat down. He asked Albuquerque what’s good and wanted to keep it a buck with them.

He played the last message his dad left him (one we have heard from previous vignettes.) the crowd cheered for him and a loud “you deserve it” chant emerged. He said he loved the fans and was genuinely moved by the response.

Two years ago, when he returned to TNA from injuries, rehab, anxiety and doubt (at Rebellion,) he grabbed the first camera he saw and made a statement to the world, not just TNA. After everything he went through, he said he wasn’t coming to be a spoke in the wheel – he was coming back for the stop. Be it at home, gym and in the ring, he gave everything he had. The reason being is that he deserved it, the sport deserved and all of the fans deserved it.

Not everything is perfect but every time he fell, he got back up; regardless if it was at Slammiversary or fighting the NXT Outlaws, he brought back the title at Bound for Glory only to lose it 30 days later. He got back up and kept fighting. Last week at the AMC Premiere of TNA Impact, he stood in the ring with AJ Styles, who built TNA brick by brick. Styles told him that he holds the keys and will carry TNA on his back meant the world to him.

He praised Kazarian for his two fights last week and that he deserves his due as an absolute legend. No one understands what it means to be in this role than him, including Nick Nemeth and the winner of the Feast or Fired challenge later tonight. His back is against the wall but he likes it that way. This is where he feels most at home and where he lived his whole life. They staid he would never be the guy but he stands there now as the guy. He deserved to be here and he belongs to be here.

Santana soaked in the praise as we head backstage to Miller and Order Four. Mustafa Ali will be in the main event tonight facing Jeff Hardy. Ali asked Miller for a huge favor and shut up. He wanted to tell Miller something she – and the TNA audience – didn’t know. The Hardys call themselves the GOATS (said with a mocking Matt impression) but in reality, they are sheep. And Ali wanted the opportunity to be their shepherd. He will prove tonight like he did at Genesis against Elijah. In Ali, we trust. They group headed off screen and Miller looked annoyed.

We get the rest of the card including Knockout action next…after commercials.

When we come back, we get a celebrity sighting as Chris Van Vilet is in the stands. We also get highlights from NXT on Tuesday with the tag match between Fatal Influence, WrenQCC and ZaRuca as ZaRuca won the match with the Sol Snatcher/Zone of Destruction combination with the Personal Concierge watching from the stands.

M…by Elegance (with the By Elegance Brand in tow) vs. Indi Hartwell

Speaking of the Personal Concierge, here is in the ring. Since being in New Mexico, he is excited about one thing – leaving New Mexico. This place sucks, according to the PC (personal note, it’s not that bad, very scenic parts to it.) The crowd is nothing but illiterate thieves (but not degenerates – interesting.) The crowd heavily boos him as he prepared them for a culture shock as they are introduced to beauty, class and excellence – the Elegance Brand. The whole group is there (including Ash by Elegance and Mr. Elegance.) Hartwell is out next to a decent pop. Hartwell soaked in the cheers (the camera caught a guy holding an “Indi – Future World Champ” sign.

Hartwell immediately went after M when the bell rang. Rehwoldt and Hannifan talked about what prompted this match – namely Hartwell stepping on M’s foot in her match and M taking umbrage with it. M fecklessly ducked between the ropes so the referee could stop Hartwell. M tried a series of flailing kicks but Hartwell grabbed one of the legs (Heather by Elegance grabbed M’s arm to help her but turning it into a wishbone but Heather eventually got the best of it. The referee restrained Hartwell and M escaped.

M missed two big boots – the second one was blocked by Hartwell who flipped her to the mat. However, M blocked a big boot by Hartwell and held it but Ash got on the apron and told her to put the foot down. M seemed confused but relented. She then tried to quickly stomp the foot but Hartwell moved it and stomped on M’s foot.

Hartwell grabbed a side headlock and got a shoulder block off the ropes. The two exchanged criss cross attempts until M tried for a handstand leap which Hartwell caught and flung her to the mat. Hartwell followed with an elbow drop for a two count.

Hartwell sent M to the corner and chopped away on the tag champ. Hartwell continued to work the foot in the corner and then hit an uppercut that sent M to the ropes and hit another forearm and running boot on the apron. However, Hartwell hit the ropes for another running boot which M evaded. Hartwell got caught on the ropes and M repeatedly stomped the foot while holding the leg over the ropes. All this was aided as Mr. Elegance got in the ring and distracted the referee.

The Personal Concierge got into the fray and helped M attack the foot until Ash rang around the ring and stopped the interference. M’s look went from confused to annoyed but continued her attack with a rolling Codebreaker through the ropes on Hartwell for two-and-a-fraction as we roll to some commercials.

We return with M cinching a chinlock on Hartwell. Hartwell tried to fight out of it. M hit the ropes for a springboard leap but Hartwell turned it into a spinebuster. Both combatnats were on the mat as Hartwell made it to her feet first. M made It to her feet as the two traded punches with Hartwell getting the better of it and followed with a series of clotheslines off the ropes. She also hit a clothesline and a bulldog out of the corner.

Harwell grabbed M for the Hurst Donut but M reversed it and sent Hartwell to the ropes. M reached for a rollup a two count and then got Hartwell on her shoulders but Hartwell reversed it for another Hurts Donut attempt. Once again, M reversed it – this time to a rollup for two. However, Hartwell reversed that into a rollup of her own for the victory.

Post Match: Heather hit the ring to beat down Hartwell. The PC and Mr. Elegance egged her on as M stood o her foot. Ash, again, got in the ring and stopped the beatdown and admonished the By Elegance brand.. M got in her face and shoved Ash. The two continued to jaw as the rest of the By Elegance Brand stood (Heather seemed conflicted.) However, the Angel Warriors (TNA Knockouts Champ Lei Ying Lee and Xia Brookside) hit the ring and stood with Ash and Hartwell.

It was short lived as Ash sucker punched Lee. Heather went after Brookside and M continued to attack Hartwell. Ash hit a DDT on the champion. And mouthed she was back. The By Elegance Brand celebrated in the ring whilst Ash continued to bad mouth Lee.

We will not bad mouth the Bioflex Medical Report. Elijah reaggravated his triceps muscle in his match with Ali but will not miss any time (yeah…..) Kazarian suffered multiple injuries from his Texas Death Match against Santana last Saturday at Genesis. Kazarian also injured his right hand after his match a few weeks ago against Bear Bronson. The Hardys are also cleared after their match against the Righteous at Genesis.

After a break, we go backstage to the backstage near a garage door and we see the By Elegance Brand celebrating as Ash By Elegance comes into the shot to join the celebration. She clued everyone in on the joke. Heather unconvincingly told her she knew she had a plan all along. Even Mr. Elegance gave her a big welcome. The Personal Concierge said she is not part of an elite club that includes Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali and Tiger Woods – the Comeback Club. He even arranged for an By Elegance Brand comeback party with limousines, champagne and strawberries. They celebrate as they leave the shot as Hannifan scoffs at the idea.

We get a rundown of upcoming events including The No Surrender special in Nashville, a taping in Atlanta and New Orleans, which will host the TNA Sacrifice event.

Feat or Fired Match: Ryan Nemeth, AJ Francis, Mance Warner, Rich Swann, “Bulletproof” Steve Maclin, Hometown Man, Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards, Eric Young, Hometown Man and the Great Hands (John Skyler and Jason Hotch)

Hannifan goes over the rules as four suitcases will placed on poles in each corner, three of them contain title shots for the World Title, X-Division and International Title. The fourth one contains a pink slip and they are gone from TNA Impact.

Trey Miguel is the last one out and got a decent pop as Rehwoldt said he wasn’t sure if they would ever see him again. Hannifan officially welcomed him back. The match is a schmozapalooza as everyone fought on the outside, leaving Miguel and Swann to hug and then trade punches. Swann attempted a hurincanrana off the ropes but Miguel landed on his feet. Swann also tried a clothesline but Miguel matrix dodged it and sent Swann to the floor after an enziguri.

Miguel tried to climb one of the pole but AJ Francis grabbed him and slugged him to the mat. Francis then tried and fended off Swann’s attempt to get him down. However, a collaboration between Miguel and Swann ended in a powerbomb of Francios. Swann showed gratitude but went back to brawling. Young got back in the fray by slugging Miguel, Swan, Hotch and Myers’ individual attempt to the get briefcases. In response, all four super kicked Young. Myers hit a forearm on Young who went to the ropes and then Edwards got a spear as he rebounded.

Meanwhile, Stacks Lorenzo, Arianna Grace and Daria Rae watched from a monitor in the back. Meanwhile, Edwards and Myers grabbed Hotch and Miguel. They fought out of it and super kicked the System Components our of the ring. Naturally, Myers and Hotch started to brawl and Miguel got the better of it when he hit a Poison Rana to Hotch. Hotch went to the floor and Miguel dodged a Maclin spear but Maclin went between the ropes to spear the outside combatants. Miguel hit the ropes and hit a dive over the top for good measure.
Not to be outdone, Hometown Man got on the pole. Ryan Nemeth tried to stop him but was kicked to the floor for good measure. Instead of climbing for a briefcase, HTM hit a frog splash to the outside. NOW, he made the climb and grabbed the briefcase and made it to the apron. Young, though, grabbed and pulled his mask as HTM tried to leave. In the process of covering his face, he dropped the suitcase and Young seized control of it.

Three suitcases remain as the Great Hands were in the ring and decided to help each other. Hotch got on Skyler’s shoulders on the turnbuckles. However, Maclin powerbombed Skyler and then draped Hotch in the Tree of Woe and hit the Crosshairs in the corner. Maclin made his attempt and grabbed the second suitcase, fending off Skyler with it in the process.

Two suitcases remain as Eddie Edwards tried to climb into the ring but Steph DeLander prevented that from happening. That signaled Warner to get back in the fray as he mauled Edwards and threw him into the ring. Warner and DeLander grabbed three chairs under the ring and Warner set them up for a chokeslam. However, Edwards reversed Warner’s attack and hit Blue Thunder Bomb on the chairs (barely.)

Swann and Francis brawled on the outside as Francis hit a Down Payment (chokeslam) on Swann on the apron. Francis celebrated whilst getting on the apron which gave Miguel an opportunity to hit a handspring kick to Francis who dropped to the floor. Miguel attempted to climb a pole but Ryan Nemeth fought him and put him on the Tree of Woe. Ryan tried to ascend to the top but Miguel elevated himself and back suplexed Nemeth to the floor. Miguel righted himself, climbed the pole and grabbed the third suitcase (just avoiding the grasp of Myers.)

That left one suitcase left as the System components tried to climb the pole. The Great Hands tried to stop him but they fought them off. Myers decided to hit an elbow drop to the floor to drop the outside combatants. Edwards climbed the pole and grabbed the suitcase but Francis got in the ring and impeded his completion. He asked Edwards to throw him the suitcase which Edwards did. When Francis grabbed it, Edwards leapt from the top turnbuckle and dropkicked him. Francis hit the mat; Edwards grabbed the suitcase and made his way to the floor with the last suitcase.

Post Match: Francis was livid and took his frustration out on the mat with a chair. The System celebrated on the rampway with Alisha mocking Francis’ “money, money, money” chant.

We go backstage (outside?) with Santana watching from a monitor with Jeff Hardy doing lateral stretches around a truck and out of frame. Nick Nemeth came into the shot and asked how he is doing and reminded him that he has a target on his back with both a Feast or Fired winner looming and Nemeth with his Call Your Shot Trophy. Nemeth heard what he said earlier and he knows what he is about and respects him for that. He thinks with his heart and not his head – and emotional champions don’t last long.

However, Nemeth is one who his calls his shots, puts the trophy on the table and wins the title. Nemeth invoked the name of Santana’s daughter and that started a pull-apart brawl with security trying to break up the fracas.

The main event is upcoming (Hannifin noted Hardy’s warming up backstage) and get the rest of the action. Before the upcoming main event, we have advertisements upcoming and here they are.

We return from break with BDE and a litany of YouTube personalities playing video games as Nick Nemeth enters the frame selling the effects of the brawl. He asked if BDE and gang saw what happened and said of course they didn’t, they were playing video games. He throws the console to the wall..

BDE took umbrage but Nemeth shoved him to the couch. Nemeth went on a rant about how soft they were because nobody knows what they are doing anymore. He started to crib from old school rants (cough Undertaker cough) by saying no one wants to improve and that’s why they are all jokes. BDE said he paid his dues, which Nemeth took him to task. BDE ran down his due paying. Nemeth said this isn’t a joke but it’s real life (okay…) it’s not tik tok or YouTube. BDE dropped a Santana reference and booked a match between him and Nemeth. Nemeth threatened BDE and headed off screen.

We head to ringside with the debut promo from Elayna Black. For those living under a rock, she introduced herself. If you don’t much about her, it won’t take long to figure it out because she is the only one people should be paying attention to in the Knockout Division. She is the only Knockout to get one million views within 24 hours of her debut. She is the only one to consistently make headlines no matter what she does or say. She is the only one that matters.

She is scheduled to face someone to next week. The contract isn’t signed but whoever but after the match it will be clear that she is the only one next in line for the TNA Knockouts Title. Like it or not (about that…) we are all living in the era of Elayna.

We go backstage to Santino Marella and Rae. Rae said Black will be future of the TNA Knockouts. Marella said time will tell. Rae disagreed and said time will next week and she will be right as usual. We hear a knock on the door and Grace walked on screen. Grace asked for some time alone with her dad. Rae left and the two stood staring at each other. Grace actually apologized for what happened to him physically and emotionally. She was hurting and said this job is never easy and he did it for the family. Lorenzo put the idea in her head that he should have done more (sneak attack sense activated…) She knows what Lorenzo and she did was wrong. Marella is the best dad anyone could ask. She begged forgiveness and hugged him.

Marella said he can’t stay mad and hugged her.

We go to the Main Event Match:
Mustafa Ali (with Order Four in tow) vs. Jeff Hardy (with Matt Hardy in tow.)

Ali had the extra servicemen in tow as he made his way to the ring and soaked in the boos of the crowd and jawed with the fans. Order Four head into the ring and STRUCK THE POSE. We get the music and the Hardys come out to thunderous applause. Hardy greets the fans around the ring as we go to break.

When we return, Hardy got the crowd riled as the two measured each other. After a prolonged lockup, Ali backed Hardy into a corner. He shoved Hardy and Hardy shoved back with Ali overselling the result. Hardy got a go behind Ali on the mat and started to drop elbows on Ali whilst holding on to aside headlock. Hardy hit a shoulder block off the ropes and then a hip toss. Hardy sent Ali sprawling to the floor with an uppercut. Order Four helped their leader regroup.

Ali got back in the ring and booted Hardy to get an advantage. He grabbed a side headlock and then got a shoulder block of his own. However, a hip toss was blocked and Ali bailed to the floor comically as Hardy attempted another uppercut. When Ali got back on the apron, Hardy faked a punch and hit a dropkick to the legs that sent Ali headfirst into the apron and onto the floor. Order Four gathered their leader and Ali got back into the ring.

Ali got an advantage by slugging Hardy in the back and then putting the boots to him in the corner – taking time to mock the “delete” gesture in front of Matt. Ali slammed Hardy to the turnbuckles but Hardy regained the advantage by clotheslining Ali out of the corner. However, Ali blocked a jawjacker with his knee and slid Hardy outside the ring.

Matt went to check on his brother but the Great Hands went to stop him. Hardy fought them off but stopped when Steelz came to the side. He threatened Tasha Steelz as she backed away. As they were arguing, Agent Zero ran over and hit a running boot that dropped Matt. Ali celebrated on the apron and on the turnbuckles as we celebrate companies with commercials.

When we return, Hardy and Ali were fighting on the apron with the ring steps set up vertically next to them. Ali tried vainly to pick up Hardy and drop him on them. Hardy and Ali continued to brawl on the apron. Hardy got the upper hand and dropped Ali from the apron to the stairs with a Twist of Fate. A “Holy (excrement)” chant emerged followed by a “TNA” chant. Both combatants were on the floor and desperately tried to make it into the ring. Both made it at the count of nine – imagine that.

Back in the ring, the two slugged each other with Hardy again getting the upper hand with a flying forearm off the ropes. After a clothesline and back elbow, Hardy hit his inverted atomic drop, wishbone leg drop and seated dropkick chain of moves for a two count. Hady got the crowd excited but Ai blocked another Twist of Fate. Ali ate a back elbow from a charge but hit a dropkick as Hardy was on the turnbuckles.

Ali climbed the top rope but Hardy blocked a superplex attempt as Ali landed on his feet on the mat. However, another charge was evaded and Ali hit his face first into the turnbuckle sliding dive spot. Ali struggled to get his feet as Steelz made her way into the ring. Matt tried to prevent her but it was too late and Steelz climbed on Ali. Jeff hit the double Twist of Fate as Ali and Steelz hit the mat. Jeff got a two-and-a-half count but Ali got some momentum back by leg tripping Jeff into the ropes.

Ali went to the floor and grabbed a title belt. Matt stopped him and grabbed the title. The Great Hands tried to get Matt but he fended them off with belt shots. Agent Zero was right behind them and hit another running boot on Matt. Zero picked up Matt but Matt escaped and ran Zero into the ring post (and almost the cameraman.) Zero stumbled to the barricade.

Meanwhile, Ali recuperated and set Jeff up for the between the ropes rolling neckbreaker. However, Jeff blocked it and hit a Twist of Fate. He then climbed to the top rope and attempted the Swanton Bomb. However, Ali moved and Hardy got nothing but mat. Ali climbed to the top and hit the 450 Splash for two-and-a-fraction. Ali looked incensed and jawed at Jeff as a “Hardy” chant emerged. Ali picked up Hardy until he heard a guitar strum. Elijah emerged from backstage and pointed his guitar like a gun. This gave Hardy time to hit another Twist of Fate and NOW Jeff hit the Swanton Bomb for the victory.

Post-Match:The Hardys celebrated in the ring as the Righteous watched from backstage. Vincent said at Genesis the light hit him like a luminary in the center of the ring. It was beautiful. After all this time, The Hardys are what you point to when you hear the word “great.” Dutch said greatness is the place you arrive but it’s where you stand at the door. Vincent said the Hardys already know who they are, he wants to know what they have become. Dig what he is saying? They both gaze up and the camera follows into the sky.

Meanwhile, the System get ready for the announcement of who is the next System component next (well next, after the last break.) When we return we get a rundown of next week including Black’s debut TNA Impact match, Elijah continues his battle with Order Four and the Feast or Fire briefcase contents will be revealed. Additionally, a “no holds barred” match is set between Swann and Francis.

But now, we must “Trust the System.” All members of the System make their way to ringside and we get some discussion about the JDC vs. Edwards match. JDC thanked us from the bottom of his heart they gave him at Genesis. He loves them from the bottom of his heart. But tonight is not about the past but the future. He handpicked his successor; it is someone he greatly respects and the crowd greatly respects. He really believes this member is not just the future of the System but the future of pro wrestling – Bear Bronson..??,,,

The response is, we’ll call it polite. Bronson was trained by Myers, Hannifan said. Bronson shook hands with all the System components. Edwards hugged JDC…and then low blowed him. Everyone seemed pleased except Moose, who was confused what was happening. Bronson and Myers then attacked Moose. The beat down continued until Alexander’s music played and he came to ringside with a chair in hand. The System headed to the floor (except Alisha, who still seemed perplexed by this.) Moose got to his feet – and Alexander hit him with the chair. Alexander smiled and joined the System in a beatdown of JDC and Moose.

Edwards said this is part of the plan he didn’t tell him. We are not replacing one member but two. Since, Moose had a hard time trusting the System, he is going to learn the hard way that you can’t beat the System. Alisha was imploring with Eddie to stop but the other member continued to beat on JDC and Moose. Alisha got on her knees and tried to defend JDC fecklessly as Eddie yelled at her. The beatdown continued as the crowd chanted “(For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge) the System.” Eventually, the beatdown ended and the new System posed in the ring as we end the show.

Impactful Ruminations

One: There is something that I would like to say. Thank you everyone for reading this. I know it showed up now and not late last night but there is something that I need to do and this might be the new normal going forward. I beg your indulgence. It will still be done.

Two: The main event angle. The System as faces were not working so the heel turn seemed inevitable. It works much better for them, although we do have a log jam in heel factions. The replacement of JDC with Bronson fells like a step down. However, my TIL moment was Myers trained Bronson. Nothing about Bronson screams main event talent but I reckon the same could be said about JDC and Myers. I still feel underwhelmed. And yes, a bear attacking a moose seemed zoologically consistent.

Three: That being said, I do like having Alexander replace Moose. Alexander was in need of some elevating in this is a great way to do it. That was a smart move.

Four: Alisha being the one trying to talk sense into Eddie was an interesting choice since she seemed like the one that might initiate it. I am curious where this goes although pairing with Moose seems like a logical step.

Five: Since Ali seemed to be in neutral (or stuck in a feud with Elijah, sadly,) it makes sense to see Jeff go over in the match as he is engaged in a top feud with the Righteous. I still want to see the end of the Ali/Elijah feud as quick as possible and see him in a title hunt of some sort.

Six: I am not super crazy about the Feast or Fired Match. It feels like the natural people. It does continue some feuds (no doubt Maclin goes after Lorenzo) but it gives Santana another person gunning for him whilst dealing with…..

Seven: Nemeth delivered a good promo on Santana and hit the right spots. I was not so crazy about the segment with BDE and the gang. IT really felt like they were cribbing from the Undertaker and the old school guys who guffaw at modern wrestlers. Credit Nemeth for willing to risk his reputation in fighting BDE but this seems like weird side quest when he should focus on Santana.

Eight: Speaking of which, Santana hit another solid promo. He generally is appreciative of this title and position in the company and does a great job communicating that naturally.

Nine: That is compared to Elayna Black….who still…has the same cadence….as she did in…NXT. That was not…a good promo…as no one talks like that. Let’s see how she does in the ring next week but we need to get someone who can carry her – just in case.

Ten: I was wondering if were getting a whiplash face turn by Ash for seemingly no reason. She did a great job selling it and turning on her opponent. Also, if she is in fact, good for her. I did see some of the social media stuff with her and Dustin Nguyen (note: not THAT one.) I wish this would be brought out into normal viewing as we can see where this is going and why Nguyen feels he has to save the brand. The PC is great, per usual. M did a fantastic job in the match and if Ash truly is back, M should think about a singles run with Heather and Ash as a team.

Eleven: Everyone has said their peace about Miguel. People change and would love an earnest on-air interview for him to clear the air. I am not crazy about his style of wrestling but this gives Slater another opponent for the X-Division title.

Lastly: The only thing missing in the Grace/Marella segment was the ominous soap opera organ. To quote the late, great Gilbert Godfried “You fool!!!”

Keep Fighting the Good Fight
