Evening Daily News Update: January 9, 2026

Good evening, doomers! It’s Friday and you know what that means… 3 hours of WWE Smackdown! No breaking news from the NBA, but Rick Carlisle finally earned win #1000 after being stuck at 999 since December 8th, and the Bulls/Heat were postponed due to condensation from the ice from an earlier hockey game. OKC visits Memphis and Milwaukee visits the Lakers on NBA TV, and YOUR New York Knicks visit the Phoenix Suns with a 9 pm ET start.
