Evening Daily News Update: January 3, 2026

Good evening, Doomsters! It’s Saturday night and it is the loneliest night or alright for fighting, depending on which song you play.

It certainly is a night for fighting if you’re into AEW as they present Collision tonight on TNT and HBO Max. El Clon! He’s here! Darby Allin faces Wheeler Yuta, the Timeless Love Bombs battle Maya World & Hyan, and Shelton Benjamin battles Shelton Benjamin.

It’s Doomies season! Have you voted for the Doomie Awards yet? Get to it right here! The finalists are in and need your votes for categories like Wrestler of the Year, Promotion of the Year and even Blog of Doom Writer of the Year. Show some love to your favorites (and in some cases least favorites) and perhaps Scott Keith will mail the winners very real trophies. If nothing else, you have more room to complain about the winners if you actually did your part to vote for your picks.

SmackDown went back to three hours last night and Niz, the champ that he is, watched all of it and wrote a great review about it. Check it out here.
