TNA Impact/2025 Year End Awards Review – December 25, 2025

By Scott Herrin on 26 December 2025

It’s almost the new year and I am bringing you the TNA Year End Special on this special episode of TNA Impact. Tom Hannifan is our host with Matthew Rehwoldt providing commentary and McKenzie Mitchell doing the ring announcing. We will get to Gia Miller in a moment. Whilst most of the gifts were handled earlier today; there is on gift left – some Impactful Discourse. Shall we? We shall.

(Side Note: Two of the match highlights are from my review of Slammiversary)

Hannifan greets us with a sensible sweater and welcomes us to a holiday special. They have much to celebrate in this milestone year of 2025 and it will only get better in 2026, with the jump to AMC, starting on January 15 live in Dallas, TX. We have a special match and to fill us in on the particulars is Gia Miller….er Gia Claus.

Miller er…Claus gave us the parameters of the match. It is a “10-person Christmas Surprise Match.” Two captains were chosen developing a lot of tension recently. They will choose four random presents each; in said presents are names of TNA superstars. They will square off in the match. The loser gets coal in their stockings; the winner gets a sizable bonus and not a subscription to the “Jelly-of-the-Month” club.

Hannifan called it the gift that keeps on giving. But, he turns the spotlight back to the previous year and highlight the award winners. The first award is Tag Team of the Year and that could only be one team – Matt and Jeff Hardy.

We cut to the Slamniversary tag title ladder match with the Hardys, The Nemeths, The Rascalz and First Class. )

Jeff set up a big ladder and both Hardys climbed the rungs but Francis and Navarro stop him and knocked the ladder over and sent the Hardys into the ropes. Navarro charges at Reed but gets guillotined on the ropes. Reed to the top but Francis threw a ladder at him to stop. Francis whips Navarro into Reed in the corner (and a ladder.) Francis avalanches Reed, picks up reed and a ladder and run them into the Nemeths and the Hardys. He then slammed the ladder and Reed to the mat.

Navarro got on Francis’ shoulders to reach for the titles but Wentz dropkicked Navarro. Reed ducks a clothesline, hit an enziguri and then Wentz hit a code breaker on Francis. Reed hit another codebreaker on Francis on the turnbuckle. Both Rascalz ascend to the top turnbuckle with a ladder and hit a diving slam off the ladder on Francis.

Reed then makes running jump over the ropes to hit a cutter on Ryan to the floor (called Flame On as I am told.) Wentz climbed a ladder and then jumped to the floor and sandwiched Navarro who was on the ladder. Francis then made an ascension but Hardy knocked out Francis with a ladder. Matt hit a Twist of Fate and Jeff hit a Swanton on Francis. The Hardys now start to climb the ladder but the Nemeths knock them from the ladder. Ryan hits the Big Hollywood Ending on Jeff and Nick hits the Dagner Zone on Matt. Ryan took time to jaw at Damon who shoves Ryan but Nick breaks up the fracas to get him to the ladder and climb it as we go to commercials.

On the streaming service we get another add for Every single DDP match in TNA History. This one is the Lethal Lockdown in 2005 as Jeff Jarrett and Sean Waltman are shown, again battling up the arena and through the stands. Jarrett brought Waltman down the stairs and slammed him to the barricade and nailed a trashcan spot in the stands on Waltman. Jarrett grabbed the cookie sheet of doom and waffled Waltman. Waltman recovered and slammed Jarrett into the championship belt and put him on the announce table and hit a roundhouse kick on the table to Jarrett as Jarrett dropped to the floor.

Back to the match and we see The Nemeths reach it but the Rascalz catch them and head to the top. Navarro pushes the ladder down and knocks down the foursome. Navarro gets a chair and goes to town on the foursome. Navaro poses and points and grabs the ladder. Meanwhile Francis is setting up ladders on the apron and barricade as Navarro is visibly limping. Francis is nowhere near the titles but sets up a ladder. Francis climbed to the top and…sort of hits a moonsault. Francis got a ladder and correctly positions it as he and Navarro climb. The Rascalz again push the ladder and First Class hit the ladders Francis previously set and the collision was not pretty. You don’t see them pretty much for the rest of the match.

Rascalz and Hardys fought for the ladder. They hit dual twists of fate on Reed and Matt gets a Side Effect on Wentz. They set Wentz on a ladder and run Reed into the ringpost. They put Reed on the same ladder as Wentz and Jeff hits a Swanton bomb on both Rascalz. Jeff runs to the other side and hits another Swanton bomb on the Rascalz.

Now we have a curious dilemma. All the ladders are broken but Jeff has an idea as Matt runs to the back to look for another ladder. Jeff asks a stage guy to hit the button and a ladder falls from the sky. Jeff starts to climb that ladder but the Nemeths try to stop Jeff and pull him from that ladder. Nemeths beat down Jeff but Matt clocks Ryan with a chair. Nick hits Matt with a superkick and now Ryan makes his ascent.

Jeff garbs Nemeth and throws him to the turnbuckle and Matt attacks him with a chair. The Hardys hit stereo twists of fate on the Nemeths with chairs. Jeff climbs the ladder and grabs the titles.

We go live to the Hardys celebrating with fans. Matt said they are GOATs for a reason, they are middle aged and extreme; and in 2025, they are Tag Team of the Year for Total Nonstop Action as the fans chant “Hardy.”

Hannifan brings us to the studio and said 2025 was a renaissance year for the tag team wrestling and the Hardys. TNA could not go into the new era of TNA Wrestling on AMC without the contributions of the Hardys in the past and in the future.

Next up is the Crossover Moment of 2025 (which the graphics team spoiled as they showed a WrestleMania 41 logo as Hannifan was talking); it is, indeed, the “global phenomenon” Joe Hendry vs. Randy Orton at WrestleMania. It was the first time a TNA Heavyweight champion (current) wrestled at WrestleMania. Joe Hendry shocked the world as he answered Randy Orton’s open challenge. He took the title and the company to new heights in 2025 and was on of the reason why TNA had so much success this year.

Speaking of the title, we get some hype for the TNA: Genesis PPV as TNA Impact World Champion Frankie Kazarian faces Mike Santana, who is getting his contractual rematch. When we return, we focus on the Knockouts Tag Team and Knockouts Wrestler of the year.

But first, we stick with the guys as we get an ad for three plus hours of Samoa Joe classics in TNA on TNAPlus. This was a rerun of the three-way match between Joe, Christopher Daniels and AJ Styles shown.

Hey, TNA is going to Alburquerque on February 22 and 23, get tickets now whilst they last.

We go back to the studio and we see Miller Claus with Mara Sade, who is one of the captains of the match tonight. Miller Claus said Sade wasn’t naughty but nice and she gets to choose her team first. Sade chooses her team but we don’t get the particulars. We’ll find out later in the broadcast but now we go to Hannifan.

Hannifan said TNA was built on the Knockouts Division and constantly provided opportunities to women’s wrestling. So, now we get the awards for Knockouts Team and Wrestler of the Year. Lo and behold, they all come from the same group – the By Elegance Brand.

We go to another part of the studio as the Brand is dressed in their elven gear from last week as the Personal Concierge bolts into the picture and said he had some huge and beautiful news for them. They are the 2025 Knockouts Tag Team of the Year. Each one gets an award and Ash said who else should get it because they bring elegance to the division. Heather said she was going to cry. M said they do have a lot of people to thank – their nail tech, the guy who does her hair, the guy who fixed Heather’s tooth and the doctor who gave Ash her stitches that one time. They are all thankful and wish us all Merry Christmas.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MOOOORRREEE, according to the Personal Concierge. The 2025 Knockout of the Year is Ash by Elegance. This is an honor and a blessing; she never thought of winning one award, much less two. She thanked the fans, the wrestlers in the back who made this year possible.

We get highlights of Ash by Elegance winning the TNA Knockouts Title from Jacy Jayne at NXT Heatwave. We see Jayne hit a rolling cannonball on Ash from the apron to the floor. We also get the finish of the match as Ash hits the Rarified Air (Senton Splash) on Masha Slamovich to win the title. Ash debuted in TNA less than two years from the match and it was a long climb for her to get there.

Ash was a double champ at the time as she and Heather won the tag titles earlier in the year against Spitfire (Dani Luna and Jodi Threat) at Sacrifice in El Paso.

We go to footage as Luna cinched an armlock on Ash. Luna took her over with an armdrag and got involved with SMALL JOINT MANIPULATON. She grabbed a quick two count and Luna continued to work the arm. Ash reversed the arm and managed to tag Heather, who came off the top rope with an axe handle. We also got a look at Personal Concierge from the back and, oh boy, that is a look. Hannifan was repulsed and said don’t shoot him; he meant shoot him but don’t shoot him.

Heather worked the arm and now we get the Personal Concierge tagged. Matthew Rehwoldt said this is what we paid to see whilst Hannifan said he has a physique of a melting candle. I laughed. The PC went to the bottom turnbuckle and hit an axe handle of his own. He attempted a wristlock, which Luna no sold and chased PC back to the corner and tagged Heather.

Heather hit the ropes but Luna caught a crossbody attempt and hit a full bodyslam. Heather hit the ropes again and a headscissors attempt was reversed into a backbreaker by Luna. Luna tagged Threat. The champs hit a kick to the leg that drooped Heather, followed by a seated dropkick by Threat, sliding clothesline by Luna and a seated bodysplash by Threat for two.

Luna picked up Heather for a delayed suplex that was aided by Threat’s push of Heather off the ropes. Rehwoldt (correctly) points out that the referee has given considerable leniency to the champs regarding the five-second rule. Hannifan correctly pointed out that the Motor City Machine Guns were in the company for a long time so let’s not turn a blind eye to them. Meanwhile, Luna tagged into the match and bodyslammed Heather and then promptly bodyslammed Threat on top of Heather for a two count. Hannifan said he wished he could turn a blind eye to the Personal Concierge as we can’t turn a blind eye to commercials.

On the steaming feed, we get another DDP match ad on TNAPlus, this one is a one-on-one match with Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett bailed to the floor and jawed with the fans, ripping signs. Jarrett stalled some more as DDP tried to attack him. A loud “DDP” chant emerged as Jarrett finally got in the ring and attacked Page with his back turned. We see Page fend off Jarrett and then attempt a Diamond Cutter as Jarrett escaped and headed to the floor.

We go back to the By Elegance match as Ash put the boots to Luna in the corner. She tagged the Concierge, who did the same thing. We get some taunting but Luna had time to recover and caught a PC boot. She held on to the leg and was getting ready to attack when Ash jumped in the ring and attacked Luna (Heather distracted the ref.) The PC pushed Luna back to the corner where he and Ash choked her.

Ash tagged and chopped Luna in the corner. Ash hit the handspring elbow in the corner as Heather came from the other side with a seated dropkick for a two count. Ash tagged the Concierge again but Luna kicked him away. Ash tagged back in the match. Ash grabbed Luna and Ash and Heather hit a Springboard Lungblower for two. Heather grabbed a chinlock but two suplex attempts were blocked by Luna who slugged away on Heather and got a vertical suplex of her own.

Luna got the hope crawl and tagged Threat. Ash tagged but Threat fended off both with a series of chops and back elbows. Ash tried to slug Threat but slugged Heather, instead. Threat came off the ropes for a double clothesline. Threat taunted the PC and threw Heather into the ropes. She also booted Ash on top of Heather and was ready to pounce. However, the Personal Concierge jumped on Threat’s back to distract her.

Threat wasn’t having it and threw the Concierge to the mat. Ash recovered and threatened Threat but Threat reversed a clothesline into a German Suplex. That left Heather and Threat in the ring. Threat hit an overhead suplex on Heather and she went to the floor. Threat hit a dive between the ropes on the Brand.

Threat tried to get the crowd riled and a loud “TNA” chant emerged. Threat threw Ash into the ring and put her on her shoulders for an airplane spin and got a Blue Thunder Bomb for two, only for the Personal Concierge to disrupt the pin. The Concierges broke out his sweet dance moves but backed into Threat. The PC begged for mercy but Threat picked him up for the Pressure Drop (assisted Powerbomb) with Luna. Whilst basking in the fans’ cheers, Luna was dragged to the apron by Heather. Heather hit a draping DDT to the floor.

Meanwhile, Ash attacked Threat. Heather went to the top rope. Ash held Heather in a curb stomp whilst Heather hit a double stomp from the top. Ash covered Threat and we had new Knockout Tag Champs.

Post-Match: The By Elegance Brand was ecstatic as Ash grabbed the title. “There is a God and she is elegant,” Rehwoldt said as they celebrated the title victory in the ring.

We go back to Hannifan who said he hopes we never see that look from the Personal Concierge. On happier notes, we get more hype for the move to AMC on Jan 15 in Dallas. Hannifan can’t wait to see what happens to the Knockout Division in 2026 as this company was built on the Knockouts Division. It was also built on the X-Division title.

That being said we get another double winner for X-Division Star and Finishing Move of the Year – Leon Slater (and his Senton 450 splash.) We get some words from Slater, who said this was a fun one this year as he looked back at all the moments he made and the records he broke. He thanks the fans for voting as this was something he always wanted to win and now from the Youngest Charge he thanks us, ya get him.

We go back to the match to Slammiversary and his X-Division Title win vs. Moose.

Both are on the apron and Moose tried for a powerbomb but Slater dropped to his knees. Moose continued to chop away at Slater. Slater counters Moose to a hurincanrana to the mat. Slater tried another flip over the ropes but Moose caught him and carried him partially up the ramp. However, Slater reversed that into another hurincanrana on the ramp. Moose threw Slater into the ramp but Slater recovered to hit a 360-flip dive over the ringpost on Moose.

Back in the ring, Moose reversed a dash to the ropes into a pop up powerbomb for two-and-a-half. Moose chopped away on Slater (with the full flip sell to the mat.) Moose continued to chop as Slater powers up . Slater caught a chop and hits series of chops of his own. A discus clothesline dropped Slater and Moose tossed Slater to the turnbuckle via buckle bomb. However, Slater recovered with a leg lariat to drop Moose as we cut to commercials.

We get another ad for Samoa Joe Classics on TNAPlus, and this one is the match with AJ Styles as Joe boot the boots to Styles and a running boot sent him through the ropes to the floor. Joe continued to maul Styles but Styles hit a cutter on the ropes. Joe recovered and slammed Styles into a spinning slam into the barricade. He whipped Styles into the barricade and sized him up but we go back to Slammiversary.

Moose is back up for another spear but Slater moved and Moose hit the turnbuckle. Slater now got Moose on his shoulders and hit Utopia (spinning Blue Thunder Bomb.) Slater hit the spear and goes to the top for the Swanton 450 but got two-and a-fraction. Hanifan and Rehwoldt were actively cheering for Slater and it’s adorable.

Slater starts to look doubtful. Slater to the ropes and landed a kick. Moose beckoned Slater and slater obliges with a kick and a side kick. Slater got hyped but a springboard dive is matched with a spear as Slater goes to the floor. Moose charged at Slater but Slater gets a Code Red on Moose on the floor. Slater back up on the top turnbuckle. Moose rolled out the way and flipped off Slater. Slater, though, hit the senton from a great distance and NOW we get the Swanton 450 for the title. The crowd loves this as Slater goes to his family an celebrates with them as they are in tears.

Post-Match: TNA President Carlos Silva entered the ring to give the title to Slater but Moose grabbed it. He put the title on Slater for a feel good moment. Nicely done. BUT HOLD EVERYTHING. To top it, we get AJ Styles as Slater celebrates. And the place comes unglued.

Styles goes to Slater, shakes his hand and hugs him. Styles got the mic and asked If we missed him. He is glad to be back where he built his name and then says it. He said the lights are little brighter and the crowd is louder and the talent is better than it ever has been and looks at Slater. Slater gets the “you deserve it” treatment. Styles said Slater doesn’t deserve it, he earned it.

Slater made Styles realize why he loves the business. Slater is the kind of people that makes Styles love what he does. Styles went over the past champs who started the title. He said for Slater tonight is history, the rest is his legacy.

This was TNA’s Moment of the Year in 2025, according to Hannifan. It was the first time in 11 years Styles retuned to TNA. This is part of the excitement the partnership with WWE brings – anything can happen. Thanks to efforts by people like Styles and people like him, we now have TNA on AMC starting on January 15.

When we come back, we get the other captain of the 10-person match and we get the Male Wrestler and Match of the Year awards. We also get commercials.

We come back to yet more hype for the AMC debut in Dallas, Texas and for the Genesis PPV two days later in Dallas, Texas. We go back to Miller Claus and Ryan Nemeth, still adorned in the Thanksgiving turkey gear from the last holiday match he wrestled. Nemeth is the other captain and asked why did Sade go first. Miller Claus said Sade was on the nice list whilst Nemeth was on the naughty list. Nemeth took umbrage and said he was a good boy all year. Miller Claus reminded him of the comment he made about her bangs. Nemeth said he hates this holiday but wants to get this over.

He is generally happy with all picks except the last one. He doesn’t like it but Miller Claus said that is his team and what does he think? “Bah Humbug,” Nemeth said and walked off. Miller Claus called him a scrooge as we go back to Hannifan.

Hannifan is excited for this match and the move to AMC as we get more hype for the January 15 match. We go to the Match of the Year and there were a lot of choices but the chosen match was from a brutal rivalry and here is one of the rivals in the match – Mustafa Ali.

Ali (with Order Four in tow) greets the esteemed citizens of TNA. He said it was great honor and humility that he and Order Four proudly accept this award for the 2025 match of the Year as Ali fought…well, they don’t say his name. He is not surprised because he and Order Four gives moment after moment and that TNA finally heard the roar from the crowd that “In Ali…We Trust.”

We go to Rebellion 2025 as get the Falls Count Anywhere match between Ali and Mike Santana.

We see Santana set up the ring steps vertically but Ali reversed a throw and ran Santana into the steps. Ali slid into the ring and hit the ropes. But, the dive between the ropes was evaded by Santana and Ali crashed head first into the ropes (with an assist from Santana.) Both main laid on the floor but Santana crawled to Ali and got a two count.

Santana continued to beat on Ali as Ali escaped up the rampway. However, Santana ran up the ramp and dove on Ali on the floor. Santana shook hands with the fans and grabbed a tub of popcorn from a fan. He promptly slammed it into Ali (and a bit into the cameraman.) Santana and Ali brawled around the arena as Santana climbed a barricade and hit a moonsault to the floor on Ali for a two count.

Santana continued to beat on Ali as Ali tried to escape. Santana caught Ali abut Ali rammed Santana into a passage way. Ali tried to climb the passage way to the next section of seats but Ali caught him. The Servicemen (pre Agent Zero) tried to attack Santana but Santana fended them. Ali continued to attempt escape as the Great Hands (John Skyler and Jason Hotch) tried to subdue Santana. Ali leapt from the passageway entrance to Santana (and the Servicemen) for two. Ali ran Santana back to ringside and grabbed some chairs from under the ring. He rammed Santana into the apron and set the chairs next to each other.

Santana hit Ali with a forearm and then got Ali into position for a powerbomb. Ali escaped and hit Santana with a superkick. Santana found himself seated on the chair as Ali charged. However, Santana arose and hit an Outline in Chalk (Death Valley Driver) on the chairs and we go to break.

We get another ad for the Diamond Dallas Page collection on TNAPlus with his match with Raven. DDP soaked in the adulation of the fans and then hit the ring with a clothesline to Raven. DDP slugged away on Raven. The two traded bots but DDP got the upperhand with a clothesline and then stomped away on Raven in the corner. He stomped Raven in the corner and booted the referee and then hit a sliding dropkick on Raven. Raven continued to beat on Raven on the barricade. DDP and Raven brawled into the crowd as we go back.

More hype for the AMC move continued and we get more insane brawling with Ali and Santana. Ali sat Santana on the apron with a chair and climbed to the opposite turnbuckle. Ali hit a coast-to-coast dropkick on the chair and Santana as they both dropped to the floor. Ali crawled to Santana and got a two-and-a-fraction count. Ali got to his feet and threw Santana into the ring. Ali taunted the crowd and Santana.

Santana had enough and headbutted Ali. Santana hit a running boot into the corner and then backflipped over a charging Ali. Ali charged again and Santana slung him into the sliding head first turnbuckle spot. Santana got the crowd riled and a “TNA” chant emerged. Santana signaled for Spin the Block but the Great Hands emerged from the back and chokeslammed Santana into the apron.

The Great Hands went under the ring and pulled out a table. They set up the table and put Santana on it. Ali climbed to the top turnbuckle and hit the 450 splash on Santana. Ali got a two-and-a-fraction. The Great Hands threw Santana into the ring and then went to the rampway and grabbed the ringsteps and slid it into the ring and set it up in the corner. They also had handcuffs and connected one side to the ropes.

However, Santana fought off the Great Hands and hit a double Rolling Block 50 on the Great Hands. Santana handcuffed Skyler and Hotch to the ropes. Santana went to the floor and looked under the ring and eventually found a barbed-wire bat. He pointed toward the Hands. However, this gave Ali time to recover and hit the rolling neckbreaker through the ropes. Ali climbed to the top but Santana evaded the 450 splash. Ali rolled through it but Santana caught Ali with a standing Spanish Fly for two, until Tasha Steelz disrupted the pin.

Steelz went under the ring and pulled out a table. She set it up and Ali grabbed Santana. Santana, though, recovered and ran Ali into the ringpost. Ali crashed to the floor as Steelz climbed to the apron and slapped Santana. Santana warned her but Steelz tried it again but Santana blocked it. Santana grabbed Steelz and hit a Razor’s Edge from the apron onto the table.

Ali recovered and blasted Ali with a chair. He threw Santana into the ring and Ali now grabbed a table and slid it into the ring. Ali set up the table and slugged Santana prone on the table. Ali climbed to the top turnbuckle (where the ringsteps and the Great Hands were still handcuffed.) Santana recovered and hit Ali – taking time to put the boots to the Hands. He climbed the ropes and the ringsteps as Santana grabbed Ali, whilst standing on the steps. Santana hit a superplex for two-and-a-fraction on the table. .

A “this is awesome” chant arose form the crowd as Ali slid over and grabbed the bat. Santana grabbed Ali but Ali swung up from the seated position and hit Ali with the bat, sticking it in his forehead. Ali grabbed the bat and arose to his feet. He taunted the fans but Santana also arose to his feet. Ali tried to hit Santana with the bat but Santana blocked it. He swatted away the bat, hit the Spin the Block and got the victory.

Santana was grateful for his portion of the award and talked about the battle which was very personal and it was a wild ride. He believed this is his first TNA award. He appreciates the fan and let’s get it.

Well, he didn’t have to wait long for his second as he was the 2025 Male Wrestler of the Year. We get more from Santana. If we know his backstory, he was primarily known as a tag team wrestler for nearly 10 years of his career. He decided to bet on himself and take the reins of his career. This is a big deal for him and for his daughter since she believed in him since day one. This is for him, his family and all the fans who supported him. He doesn’t have much to say except this – 2026, you ready?

We go back to Hannifan and more hype for the AMC premiere on January and 15 and every Thursday on AMC starting at 8 PM CST. Two days later, we get TNA: Genesis and Santana’s contractually obligated rematch with the conniving Kazarian. We will round out the awards after the break and have the “Christmas Surprise” Match after the break.

During the break (on the stream) we get another ad for Samoa Joe’s classics on TNAPlus and another look at the match with Austin Aries. This is the mohawk era Joe as the crowd cheers for him as he and Aries fought in the corner. Joe got a series of headbutts to drop Aries and then set him up on the corner for a muscle buster. Aries tried to fend him but Joe hit a kick and then got on the turnbuckle for a superplex but Aries fought Joe and hit a bellclap to drop Joe. A 450 splash gets two as we go back to Hannifan.

Next Thursday we get new matches as the Angel Warriors do battle the By Elegance Brand and Ali battles the Hometown Man. We get also get a segment with Stacks Lorenzo and Arriana Grace. Indi Hartwell, Jody Threat and Jayda Stone set battle with the Diamond Exchange (Tessa Blanchard, Victoria Crawford and Mila Moore.) Lastly, we get the world title match with Kazarian and Bear Bronson.

Hannifan can’t wait for the card next week and hey, more AMC hype. There is one special award left – the Inspirational Wrestler of the Year, it is Chris Bey, “The Ultimate Finesser.” Everyone loved Bey and was great to see him return after the injury at Unbreakable 2025 in Las Vegas. It was great to have him at Bound for Glory in Lowell, MA in October. Bey got the chance to announce the North American Attendance record at the event. Also, the Faction of the Year went to the System. We get the hype for the TNA: Genesis match between JDC vs. Eddie Edwards – the final dance.

Now, we get the first TNA “Christmas Surprise” match. We get a turkey gobble and then Nick Nemeth’s music. Nemeth’s team is comprised of Mance Warner (with Steph DeLander in tow,) Rosemary, Jake Something (under his tree is protein powder and Tanaka/Awesome DVDs) and wrapping up (no pun intended) is Jessie McKay, one-half of the tag champs. Rehwoldt said McKay’s outfit is straight from Mean Girls, and she is a mean girl.

Sade is next with her team: Desmond Xavier (carrying what appeared to be a very heavy gift,) BDE (streaming his entrance,) Eric Young and Cassie Lee, the other half of the Knockouts Tag Champs. Rehwoldt wondered what would happen if McKay and Lee were tagged into the match.

We might find out after the commercials. On the stream, we aim for another Samoa Joe Classic collection ad on TNAPlus. This is a match with Kurt Angle. Joe chopped away at Angle in the corner and then stomped on Angle repeatedly. Joe continued to maul Angle with punches and elbows. Angle reversed a whip to the floor but Joe grabbed the ropes and backdropped Angle to the floor. Joe continued the beatdown of Angle on the floor as we go back to live action – and yes, another AMC ad.

NOW, we go to the match with Warner and Xavier to start. We get some jocularity from Hannifan and Rehwoldt about getting coal in your stocking (as the losers will.) Given fuel prices, that might not be a bad thing, Rehwoldt said. Hannifan reminded him and others to not touch the thermostat. In the ring, Warner chopped away on Xavier. Lee dodged two Warner clothesline attempts off the ropes and slid under “The Southern Psychopath” to get a rotating headscissors takedown. The two staggered around the ring but Warner tagged McKay and she and Xavier got into a posing contest, to Rehwoldt’s chagrin and Hannifan’s bemusement.

Xavier looked to his corner and Lee wanted the tag – Xavier obliged. Lee pranced on the apron and got in the ring. Sportsmanship is displayed as is hugging. Naturally, they STRUCK THE POSE. They both tried to simultaneously take the pin and get the pin so they get the bonuses.
“That’s now how it works,” Hannifan noted.

Lee and McKay got ready to get at it as the crowd chanted “fight.” However, they decided to preserve the friendship and McKay tagged Something as Lee tagged BDE. BDE charged Something was caught in a chokehold. BDE fought out of it and hit the ropes for a crossbody press which Something caught and did some arm curls with him and threw him over his back. However, BDE landed on his feet and hit Something with a bicycle kick off the ropes.

BDE tagged Sade who came off the turnbuckles with an axehandle to Something’s arm (BDE held it in place.) Sade tried to grab an armlock but Something pulled out of it and tagged Rosemary. Rosemary grabbed a gift held by DeLander and tried to hit Sade with hit. Sade ducked it and punched the gift. Rosemary caught a charging Sade with a back elbow in the corner and set up the Upside Down on the ropes.

After the ref break, Rosemary attacked Sade but Sade rallied with a series of body hooks and a boot to a charging Rosemary. A Sling Blade got a two count. Young wanted the tag and got it. He promptly dropped a Bret Hart elbowdrop on Rosemary. McKay tried to protest but Young shoved her to the mat. Lee took umbrage with that and jumped on Young’s back. Young quickly threw her to the mat.

After threatening the referee and accosting him, BDE and Xavier got behind him and hit double superkicks as Young finished threatening the fans from the ring. Young rolled to his corner and to the floor. However, Something got in the ring and hit a huge bodyblock to drop Xavier. BDE hit the ropes and hit a Canadian Destroyer on Something. Warner got in the ring and hit a pop-up headbutt. Warner hit a chokeslam onto one of the gifts. BDE hit the floor but Lee entered the ring and hit a roundhouse house kick to drop Warner.
DeLander grabbed Lee and dropped her to the floor. DeLander also dropped a charging McKay. This left Sade and Nemeth in the ring. Nemeth threatened to hit Sade with a gift overhead. Sade kicked the gift onto Nemeth’s head and hit a dropkick and Nemeth went to the floor. Sade hit the ropes and dove to the combatants on the floor.

The problem is they caught her. They let her down gently but BDE hit the ropes and hit a dive over the ropes and that dropped the combatants. Sade threw Rosemary into the ring and ducked a clothesline. Sade hit a Superkick and got the win. Team Sade celebrated in the ring (McKay joined her teammate to team Sade’s approval.)

We go to closing remarks from Hannifan. Whilst Nemeth was on the naughty list, what is nice is the future of the TNA. We get the AMC hype and the new channel and time. Hannifan thanked us for 2025 and can’t wait to celebrate what is coming in 2026. Happy Holidays everyone.

Impactful (Yuletide) Ruminations.

One: My first introduction to the Personal Concierge was talk on this site and his garb during this match. Collective wisdom prevailed; that was a sight to behold. He modernized all the Cornette hits to perfection.

Two: The Ali vs. Santana match was incredible. I was hoping for Slater vs. Cedric Alexander but as insane brawls go, that was really good. And, unlike other feuds and wrestlers, they peaked at that and did not go further in the hardcore match. I would love to see a rekindling of that feud in 2026.

Three: I mentioned this in the past and I want to reiterate this. Hannifan and Rehwoldt work great as a team. They play off each other well; yet still adding salient points to a match. I would love to see them get some run as announcers of the year in year-end polls around the internet.

Four: Another specialized holiday match. It’s the time of the year for that so I will allow it (Nemeth playing the goof is always good watching.) The gifts were superfluous (I’m not sure why Xavier pretended his gift was heavy. The gifts were hollow, anyway.)

Five: Fate is a cruel boss. Ash by Elegance really started to come into her own and had tremendous character development. I hope whatever ails her is temporary and she gets a nice future.

Six: The only cleansing I have seen is in the shower and cleaning the house this week. That’s going to start soon, right Eric?

Lastly: Thank you to everyone for reading these this year. I greatly appreciate all the great words of encouragement. This year was full of hardships – harder than some, not as hard as others. Wherever it placed, knowing I had this blog, my other blog and you to be there, that made things inherently better. A lot has changed in the seven months and three days I have done this – just in my style alone. Thank you all for feedback. It will always be welcome and appreciated.

Keep Fighting the Good Fight.
