NXT Gold Rush Night Two Review – 11.26.25

This is Night Two of Gold Rush and comes to the CW and Netflix airwaves from The Theater at MSG in New York City, NY. The show was recorded on 11/19/2025. The announcers and presenters of the show are Vic Joseph and Booker T on match calls and analysis, Mike Rome on ring announcements, and Sarah Schreiber on backstage interviews and breaking news segments.

Then, Now, Forever….TOGETHER

Here’s Fatal Influence lead by NEW NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne doing an arrival walk. Trick Williams and Myles Borne arrive separately, thank goodness. A highlights package plays from last week’s Night One.

Evolve Men’s Championship: Jackson Drake (C) vs “Super” Sean Legacy

Peter Rosenberg has joined the announce desk and both he and Booker make fun of Vic Joseph’s haircut. Drake is seconded by Swipe Right. There’s some striking to start before both guys go to the mat. Legacy hits an Atomic Drop and then smashes Drake with some kicks and a standing moonsault. Legacy covers for two and Drake bails to the floor after kicking out. Legacy follows and starts firing some chops. Legacy stupidly confronts the Swipe Right guys which allows Drake to blast him from behind. They head back in and Legacy hits a big dropkick but Drake hits Legacy with an Exploder after Brad Baylor interferes again. We go to commercials.

Drake smashes Legacy with a dropkick when the show returns but Legacy manages to kick out at two after Drake covers. Drake hits some Yes kicks but Legacy fires up with some chops. Legacy hits a short dropkick and a release German. Legacy hits a springboard dropkick but Drake bails before a cover can happen. Legacy hits everyone with a tope con hilo and rolls Drake back in. Legacy hits a running enziguri and a sit-out Michnoku Driver before covering and getting two. Legacy hits an awkward looking springboard 450 but Drake reverses the cover and gets two. Drake hits a standing knee drop and covers for two. Drake hits a tope suicida after Legacy bails. Legacy fires up and hits a top rope Spanish Fly-type suplex for two. Legacy hoists Drake but Drake reverses to hit a Gutbuster. Legacy gets draped over the top rope and Drake drops a springboard knee on him. Drake hits a running knee and covers Legacy for three.

It was a sprint with spotty selling, as you might have suspected, but the crowd was into it. Drake didn’t have to cheat to win basically at all, which also helps at least with my enjoyment of a match. This was a good showcase for Evolve, I thought. 3*

Winner AND STILL Evolve Men’s Champion – Jackson Drake (running knee strike)

Here’s Sol Ruca being taunted by Ethan Page with a white towel. Page tells Ruca she should be playing second fiddle to no one. Page mentions that Ruca should focus solely on herself, and Ruca leaves as Myles Borne joins the scene. Borne tells Page that he’s locked in for tonight and Page says Borne focuses on too many other things while Trick only cares about himself.

Fatal Influence make their entrance as we go to commercials.

WWE Women’s Speed Championship: Fallon Henley vs Zaria

As a reminder, Speed title matches have a five minute time limit. Zaria comes out alone to start, while Henley has Jacy Jayne and Lainey Reid with her. Henley grabs a rear chinlock so Zaria jams her into a corner to break it up. Henley gets a sunset flip for two. They slug it out and Zaria hits her own sunset flip for two. Henley hits a crucifix for two. Henley gets a roll up for two. Henley hits a cross-body for two. Zaria smashes Henley in a corner and then hits a suplex before covering and getting two. Zaria turns Henley over with a Texas Cloverleaf but Henley eventually makes the ropes to break it up. Zaria hoists Henley, but she slips off and walks right into a Zaria high boot. Zaria hoists Henley in a chinlock and then clotheslines her from the second rope. Henley bails to the floor and Zaria goes out after her to roll Henley back in. Zaria is immediately accosted by Jayne and Reid as Booker points out she’s lost focus. Henley’s cross-body is reversed as Zaria hoists Henley. Henley snaps off a DDT for two. The five minute time limit is up.

NXT GM Ava emerges to tell the crowd that this match is now sudden death. Zaria hoists Henley, who slips off. Zaria dumps Henley to the floor as we go to commercials.

Henley dumps Zaria on a turnbuckle and covers her for two as the show returns. They slug it out and Henley manages to slap on a Rings of Saturn on Zaria. They exchange covers for two. Zaria hits a series of clotheslines and a headbutt. Zaria hits an overhead suplex but Henley gets a roll-through cover for two. Reid pulls Henley out of the way and Zaria crashes into the ring steps. Henley hits a Shining Wizard and a Fameass-her before covering Zaria and getting three.

Okay, that was really weird because wrestling matches, by nature (unless it’s like two out of three falls or some such nonsense), are sudden death. Like the entire point of the Speed title is the goddamn time limit. Anyway, this was fine for what it was but I think the crowd was weirded out a bit by Ava just saying “hey, wrestle until someone wins”. 2*

Winner AND NEW WWE Women’s Speed Champion – Fallon Henley (Fameass-her)

Here’s another creepy promo from Shiloh Hill to talk about how he broke his dad’s nose while playing Undertaker vs Stone Cold in their living room. Hill talks about his various jobs growing up and says that working at a slaughterhouse was “fun” before pulling out his dental bridge to show his missing tooth. Hill grins and says he’ll see us soon. We go to commercials.

Here’s John Cena to announce the men’s Iron Survivor participants. For the men’s match he picks TNA X Division Champion Leon Slater, Je’von Evans, Joe Hendry, Dion Lennox, and whomever wins between Trick Williams and Myles Borne in tonight’s main event. We go to commercials as the entrances start for the TNA Knockouts title match.

THE NXT FOCUS PRESENTED BY PROGRESSIVE is on the split within the Culling. Izzi Dame talks about warning Tatum Paxley that this split could happen because Paxley wouldn’t listen, and tells her it is what it is.

TNA Knockouts World Championship: Kelani Jordan (C) vs Jordynne Grace vs Lei Ying Lee

TNA President Carlos Silva and Tommy Dreamer are in the crowd for this match. There’s a scrum to start and Jordan ends up on Grace’s back. Grace smashes her into a corner and Lee flies over to the apron. Lee ascends and hits a Blockbuster on Grace and Jordan. Lee covers Grace and gets two. Lee trips Grace up and smashes her with a running knee. Lee starts dropping bombs on Grace in a corner as Jordan finally makes it back in. Jordan sends Lee all the way to the floor from the top rope, and this gives Grace a chance to take the advantage. Grace hits a running knee and a springboard Vader Bomb on Jordan that gets two. Lee comes back in to battle with Grace and Jordan drops both of them and then hits a double stomp to Lee’s spine. Jordan dumps Lee to the floor and and starts pounding on Grace. Lee grabs Graces boot and that allows Jordan to hit a sit-out DDT on Grace before covering and getting two. Jordan hits Grace with a legdrop and then hits both Lee and Grace with a moonsault on the floor as we go to commercials.

Jordan hits Grace with a frog splash but Lee breaks up the cover at two when the show returns. Lee smashes Grace in a corner but Grace responds by whipping Lee into the corner where Jordan is. Jordan slips that but Grace manages to hoist her up as Lee flies off with a dropkick that flattens both of them. Lee covers Grace for two. Lee covers Jordan and gets two. Grace dumps Lee and then hits some knee lifts. Grace tosses Lee and Jordan over with a German and covers Lee for two. Grace mounts Lee in a corner but Lee starts throwing rights to break it up. They slug it out and a recovered Jordan rushes over to drop Lee. Jordan starts smashing Grace and then whales her with a Spanish Fly. Lee breaks up the cover at two and puts an ankle lock on Jordan. Lee moves to a single crab but Grace smashes Lee in the chest but Lee won’t release Jordan. Jordan finally kicks out of the hold as Grace hits a powerbomb on Lee. Jordan breaks up Grace’s cover at two and Grace calmly smashes Jordan with a powerbomb that gets two.

Lee and Grace slug it out and then Grace decides to deal with Jordan on the floor and that goes badly. Jordan ascends but misses her 450 attempt on Lee. Lee hits a roundhouse kick on Jordan and Grace flies in to smash Lee with a back-fist. Jordan rolls up Grace for two. Grace hits a back-fist on Jordan and then hoists her for a tilt-a-whirl suplex. Lee kicks Grace off of her cover at two and Lee covers Jordan and gets three!

That’s not a result I would have predicted but I like that TNA has both of their main singles titles back, the men’s situation notwithstanding. Lee looked genuinely overwhelmed at winning the title and the crowd was fully into it especially in the second portion of the match. I wouldn’t call it a classic or anything, and it had that three-way formula of “one person on the floor while the others duke it out” going, but it was decent for what it was. 3*

Winner AND NEW TNA Knockouts Champion – Lei Ying Lee (sneaky pin on Jordan after kicking Grace off her cover attempt)

Post-match sees Carlos Silva put the title on a very happy Lee. Lee and Silva hug as a dejected Jordan sits in front of the announce desk.

A giddy Fatal Influence celebrates having two titles and Jacy Jayne gives Lainey Reid a quick pep talk. Ava comes in to announce that Jayne and Henley are banned from ringside due to constant interference when they’re out there. Ava leaves as everyone complains about this decision. We go to commercials.

Here’s Sarah Schreiber sitting down with NXT Men’s Champion Ricky Saints to chat about Oba Femi’s return. Saints says all eyes are on him and there’s a lot of doubt about how long he’ll be champion. Saints says he’s questioning himself, but he replays the moment when he won the title over and over in his head. Saints says people are asking how he might beat Femi again, and he truly doesn’t know. Saints also mentions that he might be the blip in Femi’s title run but he’s doing his best to quiet the voices. Saints wonders if all the work and sweat he’s put into his career will be worth it, but the pressure is his ally and he uses it to his benefit. Saints says if he can’t beat Femi again maybe no one can. Saints mentions he makes the impossible possible and Schreiber wishes him good luck at Deadline.

Evolve Women’s Championship: Kendal Grey (C) vs Lainey Reid

Grey is seconded by the delightful Wren Sinclair. Peter Rosenberg re-joins the commentary team to talk up Evolve. Grey immediately goes to ground and pound before tossing Reid around. Reid breaks out of an armbar attempt and starts kicking Grey in a corner. Reid smashes Grey to the mat, but Grey fires up with a flurry of her own. Grey trips up Reid and then hits her with a short dropkick before covering and getting two. Reid fires up and sends Grey to the apron. Reid tries to powerbomb Grey but she slips out of it. Reid dumps Grey face-first onto the ring steps and we go to commercials.

When the show returns Reid is in control. Reid mounts Grey in a corner but Grey holds on to prevent a second rope German. Grey starts throwing rights and then hits a moonsault that wipes out Reid. Grey throws some rights and a couple of back elbows. Grey tosses Reid down and then tries to take her to the floor, but Reid counters and drops a knee on Grey’s back. Reid hits a sit-out powerbomb and gets two. Reid barks at Grey and then pulls her knee pad down. Grey slips Reid’s charge and tosses her over for two. Grey tries for an armbar and here’s Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley out of nowhere. Sinclair dumps Henley and then Jayne charges over and smashes Sinclair into Charlie Dempsey‘s waiting arms. Grey superkicks Jayne out and the ref ejects everyone on the floor. Reid grabs a rollup during the confusion and gets two. Reid superkicks Grey and then ascends. Grey flies up and hits an overhead toss German. Grey pulls down the straps and hits Shades of Grey for three.

Slightly overbooked nonsense here, but it was fun and the crowd ate it up. Evolve has no title changes heading into tonight’s Thanksgiving Eve show. Grey looked like she had some nerves and Reid kind of just went through things point by point, but they smashed each other around a bit so I’m completely cool with it. I think there’s a good future for both of these women, quite frankly. 2.5*

Winner AND STILL Evolve Women’s Champion – Kendal Grey (Shades of Grey)

Here’s Darkstate to celebrate Dion Lennox being in the Iron Survivor Challenge. Lennox hits the catchphrase, and they decide to go watch Trick Williams and Myles Borne’s match. Yippee. We go to commercials.

Here’s John Cena to announce the women’s Iron Survivor participants and they will be Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, Kelani Jordan, Jordynne Grace and Kendal Grey. I like this field a WHOLE BUNCH. There will be a SUMMIT next week between these five, as well as a Josh Briggs-Tavion Heights match. It’s time for the main event.

Iron Survivor Qualification Match: Myles Borne vs Trick Williams

Trick fires out with a clothesline just after the bell. Trick puts the boots to Borne, but Borne gets a sunset flip for two in response. Borne waffles Trick with a dropkick and gets two. Trick dumps Borne to the mat and smashes him with some rights. We see Joe Hendry, Je’von Evans and Leon Slater watching on a monitor during an inset. Trick hits a reverse suplex and covers Borne for two. Trick bullies Borne around, but Borne fires up and smashes Trick with his Borne Again neckbreaker before covering and getting two. Trick bails to the floor as we go to commercials.

Trick is smashing Borne with rights when the show returns. Trick hits a facebreaker and covers for two. Trick chops Borne in a corner and Borne’s quick flurry is cut off by a double thrust from Trick. Borne hits an inside cradle and gets two. Borne goes for a crucifix but Trick hoists him on his shoulders and hits a Death Valley Driver. Trick drops his knee pad but runs into a Borne powerslam when he charges. Borne’s cover gets two. They slug it out and Borne smashes Trick with some clotheslines and a dropkick. Borne hits an Atomic Drop and a drop suplex before covering and getting two. Borne throws some uppercuts and Trick fires up with a Black Hole Slam. Trick hits a pump kick and they both fire off neckbreakers at the same time. Trick misses a leg lariat and Borne snaps off a German. Trick dumps Borne to the floor and follows out to kick him in the face. Trick misses a charge and Borne hits Borne Again on the floor. Borne hits a third one in the ring and covers for three.

Interesting, but not fully unexpected. Trick is putting some people over before heading to the main roster, clearly. Borne in the Iron Survivor match could be cool because he does have incredible cardio and should be able to easily work from the number one or two slots depending on how they book the match. I didn’t love this but maybe a second viewing would change that perspective. It just felt like “you do a move and then I’ll do a move and then you do a move” for awhile before we got to the finish. Regardless, for a main event, it was fine but the crowd was kind of subdued after a long night of wrestling. 2.75*

Winner – Myles Borne (Borne Again)

Post-match sees Darkstate charge down to ringside from the crowd, but here’s Joe Hendry, Je’von Evans and Leon Slater to back up Borne. They dare Darkstate to come in to the ring as the credits roll and we’re out.

I would say this wasn’t quite up to the level of Night One, but it was still a decent show with some good in-ring stuff and the announcements of the Iron Survivor participants. I’m interested to see if there’s any fallout from Lainey Reid not winning the Evolve title considering that her stable-mates both won titles on the show. Trick continues to put some folks over on the way out the door and I wonder how many more matches he’ll actually have on the brand because dragging this all the way out to Stand & Deliver, for example, would be foolish. He’s ready, get him up there and give him some creative. We’ll call this thumbs in the middle leaning up, and go forward from here.
