Evening Daily News Update
By Garth Holmberg on 5 September 2025
Good evening, Doomers, and TGIF! Friday Night NFL gives us the Kansas City Chefs vs The Los Angeles Chargers from Brazil, available for free on YouTube (don’t get used to that “free” part). I think I can safely say we’re all pulling for the Chargers. Friday Night Smackdown looks like it has potential to be a very special night, with John Cena making what is believed to be his last appearance on the program before his retirement at the end of the year. There’s rumors circulating concerning what he might be involved in, but we’ll leave the spoilers to the comments section. There are no matches confirmed, but we can expect to see some heavy hitters, including CM Punk. Dixie Khan is running a Very Special YouTube Edition of ROH, with ELEVEN MATCHES lined up, including 3 Pure Rules Matches, two featuring the women, yet neither match is part of the Pure Rules Tournament.
Saherrin has all the details from last night’s episode of TNA Impact with some unfortunate man-on-woman violence cheap heat nonsense, Phrederic covers All Japan’s King’s Road Tournament from August 24th, Mike Reviews the August 7th, 2000 episode of WCW Worldwide (yes, it still exists in 2000), Logan’s got the May 14th, 1994 episode of WWF Superstars (featuring Mabel vs. Pierre for a KOTR spot), and ROH Honor Club is brought to you by yours truly, with such titillating action such as Hologram and Ishii vs the Premier Athletes and a bunch of matches pulled from different taping sources.
Wade Barrett and Nikki Bella Squash the Beef
Nikki seemed unhappy with comments Wade made (in character) at Clash in Paris, and accused him of avoiding her at Raw, which he swiftly denied. All is well and good, however. She got the audio clips she needed to get some views, and now can milk something else for clicks as her 2025 run continues to be a waste of time.
Bryan Danielson’s Bucket List
The former World Champion, most recently associated with AEW, has gone on record and say there’s nothing left for him as far as his “wrestling bucket list” is concerned.
