TNA Impact Review – 09.04.25

We are still bound for Bound for Glory on Victory Road as TNA Impact finds itself at the Armory in Minneapolis (it’s a northern Armory – not THE Northern Armory, that’s later in the show.) Fun factoid, the Armory was used to shoot Prince’s “1999” video and Aerosmith’s “Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.” Well, we aren’t missing Tom Hanifan, Matthew Rewholdt, Gia Miller and McKenzie Miller because they’re here and you’re here. So, let’s have some Impactful Discourse, shall we? We shall.

First, a very somber announcement as we take time to pay tribute to those who lost their life in the horrible Annunciation Catholic School Shooting. A tribute T-shirt is now on sale with all proceeds going to the benefit the families and those suffered from the shooting.

Previously on Impact – We got highlights of the Mike Santana and Steve Maclin vs. Trick Williams and AJ Francis match last week. We also saw Williams calling his lawyer and his lawyer arriving for the last segment of the show and getting cobra’d by Santino Marella.

And sonofamagung, Marella joined us to start the show.. Last week, “Tricky” Williams sleazebag liar/lawyer (could have gone either way) was pushing his buttons and sometimes Marella does not think with his head but with his “cobra” (which got a chant.) It was self-defense but he would do it again. There might be some legal ramifications so he is going to hire a liar/lawyer.

At Bound For Glory in Lowell…Lowell, Mass (Marella humorously couldn’t pull out Massachusetts,) it will be Mike Santana vs. Williams. AND, that brings out “The Realist” through the crowd. Crowd generated a fairly large “Santana” chant. Finally, the news the world has been waiting – the biggest fight at the biggest show of the year (this gets a “new champ” chant generated.)

On October 12, the world will be watching and Santana will bring the title back home where it deserves – for his daughter, family, the fans and TNA. He heard Williams won’t show his face around Impact until he’s forced to. Santana said in his part of the world it’s called a (female dog) move. Williams can hide behind his lawyers but it won’t make a difference. If he won’t show up at Impact, Santana will go to NXT and drag his backside around. Williams, the clock is ticking. The fans went wild and Santana showed off the Minneapolis shirt discussed prior.

We then go backstage as Miller brings Mara Sade and the Hardys into the shot. Tonight, they will face Tasha Steelz and the Great Hands. Miller talked about the shot Sade took last week from Agent Zero during her match with Steelz and if she has recovered. Sade said it was disgusting. She was hurt but she is up again and she and the Hardys will put them in check.

Matt said Order Four crossed the line. It’s one thing to make fun of someone’s art (ummm.she’s right there) but it’s another thing to decapitate her. Is he called Secret Agent Zero because he has zero manhood? (ummm.burn?) And they are going to get an extreme beating. They walk off frame as we look at Miller for an elongated time…and we’re done…print it, guys, we can stop filming. Eventually, they cut to Rewholdt and Hanifan talking about the rest of the show including (as promised) the Elegance Brand celebration and a three-way match between Jody Threat, Dani Luna and Indi Hartwell (winner gets the Knockouts single title match) and next we have Matt Cardona and Frankie Kazarian but first a break (on the streaming feed it is a look at the stands.) Also, the Naked Gun remake is out on digital.

We then stay backstage as Santana is walking but runs into Moose. He wished Santana well at Bound For Glory. Last year, they wrestled at Bound For Glory and Moose has no doubt he will win the title. Meanwhile, AJ Francis walked into frame on his phone with Williams. He reiterated what Marella said.

Moose called Francis “Willams little (Female dog).” Francis said that William’s first year in wrestling was Francis’ first year in the NFL because Moose knew he couldn’t handle it. Moose makes an offer – next week it is Moose vs. Francis. Francis walked off shot, followed by Moose and Santana.

We were supposed to get Cardona vs. Kazarian but first…..

Ryan Nemeth strolled down the aisle and into the ring, naturally with mic in hand. Nemeth’s Big Brother returns tonight. However, instead of Nick we get Matt Cardona.

Cardona said some of us have to wrestle tonight and wanted Ryan to clear the ring. Nobody at home or Minneapolis (pops are served cheap) wants to hear what he has to say. And, no one cares what his big brother has to say, either. Ryan accused Cardona of being jealous because Cardona doesn’t have a big brother.

Cardona bluntly said that he thinks Nick Nemeth sucks. Ryan tried to attack Cardona but Cardona ducked a punch and clocked Ryan with the mic. Ryan went sprawling out of the ring and slept/sold the punch on the floor as Frankie Kazarian made his way to the ring.

Matt Cardona vs. Frankie Kazarian

Rewholdt, a critic of Kazarian for the last few weeks, started to come back around and like Kazarian. Hanifan isn’t having it. Meanwhile, the two combatants lock up and work around the ropes. A clean break by Cardona earned a shove by Kazarian who bailed to the apron to avoid retaliation. Back in the ring, Kazarian grabbed a side headlock and shoulder blocked him. Cardona tried for a backdrop but that got him a boot to the face. Kazarian hit the ropes but Cardona recovered a hit a dropkick that sent Kazarian sprawling to the corner.

Cardona continued to attack by hitting a flying forearm in the corner and a flapjack got two as Kazarian bailed to the floor. Kazarian got back on the apron and avoided a Cardona shoulder block to the torso. But, Cardona recovered and avoided Kazarian’s legdrop on the apron (which is still the hardest part of the ring.) Cardona flew through the ropes and hit a dropkick.

Cardona stalked Kazarian, who threw Ryan into Cardona but ate a forearm which put him back to sleep on the floor. Cardona also hit Kazarian with a forearm and ran him into the ringpost. Cardona continued to pound away on Kazarian with forearm shots and threw him into the ring. As Cardona tried to get into the ring, Ryan grabbed his feet. That earned him a kick to the barricade and more sleeping sell ahoy.

Whilst that was happening, Kazarian had enough time to recuperate and attack Cardona when he did get back into the ring. Kazarian then choked Cardona on the ropes with his leg. Kazarian hit a snapmare and then a Natural Selection neck snap. He choked Cardona on the mat and on the ropes again with his boots. The crowd tried to rally Cardona with an “always ready” chant as Kazarian threw Cardona into the turnbuckles. “The King” then hit a Russian Legsweep as Cardona caromed off the turnbuckles for two.

Cardona finally started to rally with a series of punches but a missed dropkick put the kibosh on that. Kazarian then hit the springboard twisting legdrop. KAZARIAN POSED for the fans and then threw Cardona to the floor. Kazarian pounded away on Cardona and threw him head first into the ring post. Kazarian got back into the ring as the crowd tried to rally Cardona again.

Kazarian took time to jaw with the fans as Cardona struggled to his feet and just beat the count. Kazarian waited for him and then started to beat on Kazarian and did a sole rake with his boot. Kazarian continued to jaw at the fans and then hit the chinlock. Cardona struggled but got to his feet and elbowed out of the hold. Kazarian hit the topes but hit simultaneous bodypresses, dropkicks and big boots that dropped both to the floor.

Meanwhile, Hanifan reminded us that it was 30 years ago that the first Nitro was held…in Minneapolis at the Mall of America, complete with Lex Luger’s surprise appearance. This is also the first time the two have fought.

The two got up simultaneously but a Kazarian charge was met with a Cardona elbow and then another charge was met with a clothesline. Cardona reversed a backdrop attempt with a face first smash into the mat. Another clothesline sent Kazarian to the corner. Cardona snapmared him out of the corner and then hit a missile dropkick from the second turnbuckle. Kazarian sprawled to the corner and Cardona tried to set up the Reboot but Kazarian went to the floor. Undaunted, Cardona hit the Reboot through the ropes on Kazarian.

Cardona threw Kazarian back into the ring but Ryan arose to distract Cardona. This gave Kazarian a chance to hit a slingshot cutter into the ring for two-and-a-fraction. Cardona recovered and reversed a Kazarian hold into a armdrag. Cardona also caught a charging Kazarian with two knees in the corner and set up the Unprettier. Kazarian landed a back kick to get out of it but Cardona caught Kazarian with a spinebuster for two.

Cardona got to his feet but Ryan, again, distracted him on the apron. Cardona had enough and threw him over the ropes and into the ring. He hit the Radio Silence on Ryan. However, all this gave Kazarian time to recover and hit the Fade to Black for the victory.

Post Match: Kazarian sauntered over to the announcers and said he can’t stop winning into the mic. Miller joined us on the floor and said did Kazarian know he needed help to win the match? After a hard fought victory, Miller tried to denigrate him, so Miller must suck at her job. Kazarian than showed Miller how it is done by interviewing himself. Miller looked indignant.

“Miller” asked what was next for Kazarian. Kazarian said it is obvious to all, including the dumb marks at ringside, that he has his eyes set on the International title held by Steve Maclin. That title should be held by a man of honor, dignity and class. It should not be held by some dirty jarhead with frivolous service and lame, old, war stories.

This brings out Maclin who hit the ring and threatened Kazarian to cross the line and challenge him. Kazarian stayed on the floor and jawed with the champion.

We go back to last week as we see the Iinspiration handle Fatal Influence as McKay pinned Nyx with the Iidolizer. That brings us to a taped interview with the Iinspirers who feel great because they got the win last week that brought them one-step closer to a match with the By Elegance Brand for the tag titles and they are keeping a close eye on the celebration later as they STRUCK THE POSE!!! It, according to Rewholdt, is next.

When we get back we recap the NXT Heatwave title victory of Ash…by Elegance for the Knockouts title over Masha Slamovich and Jacy Jayne. Hanifan said the match stole the show at Heatwave.

But do you what is going to steal this show? “It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for” as the Personal Concierge, M and Heather..by Elegance are in the ring. He is going to ask; NO, he is going to demand that all the degenerate losers stand on their feet, show class if they have any in their bones because we owe a debt of gratitude to this unbelievable, beautiful human being who brought back the TNA Knockout Women’s world title. She is the PC’s, the fans and Our savior, she is the TNA champion, Ash….by Elegance.

Ash is glowing as the fans cheer for her as she sashays down the ramp. Rewholdt is just all agog over this and Hanifan accused him of turning into a Katy Perry Song. Rewholdt said he is a demon hunter as he is more than happy to do it because she went hunting and brought back something better than a 10-point buck.

“All hail Ash…by Elegance,” sayeth the PC. “The moment has come for a giant celebration for you.” PC has some gifts. It is a portrait done by an artist who is the brother’s uncle’s cousin’s sister’s brother-in-law’s, nephew’s neighbor of Picasso. It was commissioned for her with love compassion and gratitude. It is a portrait (AI generated) of Ash with the title adorned with a crown and a royal robe. Ash wiped “tears” from her eyes.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!!! They spared no expense as they got some custom champagne in her honor, it’s Elegance in a bottle. Ash deserved this and so much more. She deserved all of it because she is our savior.

Ash tanked everyone. She is beautiful, she is elegant and she is the new TNA Knockout World’s Champion. She is the savior. TNA needed to be saved so she went to Heatwave and captured the title. She brought it home because it is all because of her!!! Not even the dirty ole’ Masha Slamovich could do it.

Well, that brought out Slamovich to the ramp with a mic. She said that was enough of this garbage. Ash called herself the savior but she sees a coward hiding behind servants. She knows he crashed the party but has some breaking news. Slamovich spoke to Marella and she now has a title shot at Victory Road, where she will show that Ash’s title win was a fluke.

She got in the ring and fended off Heather and M but Ash flung champagne in her eyes which dropped her. The Elegance Brand then recovered and started to beat on Slamovich. Until, Xia Brookside and Lei Ying Lee hit the ring and attacked Heather and M. Funny moment as Ash and PC tried to protect the portrait in the goofiest poses you could concoct.

Masha grabbed Heather and was going to powerbomb her until the Concierge took a swipe at her. Slamovich no sold it and started after PC but Heather grabbed Slamovich’s hair and slammed her to the table. Brookside and Lee started to brawl again as now the Iinspiration’s music hit and they came running into the ring as the By Elegance Brand split – but left the portrait. All five faces stood in the ring and Slamovich pointed to the portrait. One can imagine what happened next.

As the By Elegance Brand begged, pleaded and wheedled, Slamovich punched the portrait.

“Sweet Picasso’s ghost, you monsters!!” Rewholdt gasped as the faces shredded the portrait. “Now, that, is art,” Hanifan exclaimed.

“It’s raining masterpiece,” Rewholdt lamented.

Speaking of some lamentations, it is the Bioflex Injury Report. JDC is still out after his attack from Special Agent Zero a couple of weeks ago. Speaking of Zero, Sade suffered some bruising from Zero last week. Although, she is cleared, she is not 100 percent. Good news, both Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel are cleared for ring action. We also get the humorous update that Williams is suffering from no injury, despite Williams’ claims.

We return from break with Mustafa Ali walked on a parquet floor. He issued a final warning; the next time he speaks to us will not be via words, but with war. This is not bravado but rather a promise. Anyone who challenges Order Four will be shut down. And that included the mutated, useless slime of the System who decided to take a stance against Order Four. He wanted to be clear; if they do not lower their heads or if Ali hears a whisper of opposition, he will fill arenas with their screams; if they want justice, he will bring judgment and if they beg for mercy, he will respond with silence. There is no middle ground. Either we stand with Order Four or fall with the System. The choice is ours but TNA is his.

Triple Threat Match for a TNA Knockout Title shot at TNA Bound For Glory:

Jody Threat vs. Dani Luna vs. Indi Hartwell

Threat is out first and hurtles to the ring. Luna walked to the ring with a derisively heel look as she headed to the ring. Hartwell was last as the crowd got a huge pop. Hartwell looked focus but did take time to smile and soak in some cheers.

Luna charged at Hartwell but Threat stopped her. Hartwell pushed Threat aside but Luna pushed Threat into Hartwell and got a quick rollup for two. The former Spitfire teammates screamed at each other as both Threat and Hartwell slugged Luna. The two then fought for position, but took time to backdrop a charging Luna.

Threat caught Hartwell in the corner with some standing clothesline but a running clothesline was evaded but Threat reversed an armlock into a running lariat. Threat hit a vertical suplex for one and then got Luna on her shoulders for a Pop, Shove It attempt. Luna escaped but was pushed into the ropes. Hartwell held the ropes down as Luna went to the floor. However, she grabbed Hartwell by the legs as Hartwell hit the ropes and dragged her to ringside. Threat joined the party by diving through the ropes and body pressed the two. Threat screamed if Luna wanted this. Threat pushed Hartwell into the ring but a jawjacker and two running boots dropped Threat.

Hartwell went to the top turnbuckle but Luna pushed her to the apron and then Hartwell crumpled to the floor. Luna got in the ring and caught Threat coming off the ropes into a spinning tilt-a-whirl slam but changed it to a Northern Lights Bomb variation for two. Luna continued to slug away on Threat. Luna also kicked Hartwell out of the ring when she tried to re-enter.

Luna tried to stretch Threat’s arm over the ropes as Hartwell re-entered the ring. However, Luna caught her with an overhead suplex. Threat recovered enough to chop away at Luna and sent Luna into her ropes but missed a meteora. Hartwell tried to charge the ring but Luna moved and Hartwell crashed into Threat. Luna clotheslined Threat out of the ring but Hartwell recovered to hit a series of clotheslines and a spinebuster.

Hartwell, again, went to the top and hit a flying elbowdrop for two before Threat broke the pin. Luna and Hartwell stated to brawl as Threat tried to get involved. Hartwell deflected a slap that was redirected and hit Threat hard. Threat sprawled to the ropes as Hartwell tried to set up her finisher; however, Luna broke the hold and hit a running boot to Hartwell. However, this gave Threat a chance to hit a Michinoku Driver for two before Hartwell broke the pin.

Hartwell grabbed Threat on the apron but Threat managed to reverse it and hit a big boot on Hartwell and got her on her shoulders. Luna grabbed Threat’s legs as Hartwell landed feet first in the ring. Threat kicked away Luna and moved as Hartwell charged with a big boot which connected on Luna. Threat grabbed Hartwell and rammed her into the turnbuckle. Threat than hit a running senton on Luna to the floor.

Threat went to the top rope but Hartwell charged the corner. Threated tucked in with a roll as Hartwell missed a big boot. Threat missed a clothesline; but got Hartwell on her shoulders. The Pop, Shove it was reversed as was the Hurts Donut as Threat grabbed a small package for two. Hartwell did the same. Threat tried for another rollup, which Hartwell reversed to a sunset flip for the victory.

Post Match: Luna attacked Hartwell as Threat tried to intervene. Luna slugged her to the mat and continued to beat on Hartwell. Luna looked at Threat and Hartwell and left the ring. We leave for a break but coming up afterwards – Joe Hendry.

We come back to another recap of last week as we see Eric Young’s edict of cleansing TNA, starting with Hendry. We go back live and we get Hendry heading to ringside to a tremendous pop. Despite the contractual fait accompli, the crowd loved him and go the biggest pop of the night. Hand wave ensued and Hendry STRUCK THE POSE!!! (with a “we believe” chant.)

Hendry is here in Minneapolis. It’s a privilege to be him because he can appear anywhere. He cited his victory over the Miz in Manchester, Great Britian and this past Tuesday as the secret weapon in the Hank and Tank vs. Dark State match. But, his heart is here. It means the world to him. On behalf of everyone in the back, he thanked the crowd for being here. TO be able to celebrate pro wrestling fans is great but unfortunately, we can’t focus on that.

The truth is there is a problem that must be discussed – Eric Young. Hendry is not a difficult man to find but Young still felt the reason to attack him from behind. Hendry, though, is going stand here and turn around and find out what happened when we say Eric Young’s name, will he appear.

Sure enough, Eric Young appeared with THE Northern Armory in tow. Young has a problem – it’s Hendry and his perpetual smile and the handwaving and the hero worship. The fans are supposed to believe in him (the fans chant that they do, in fact.) Young believes he is a fraud. Young was Hendry’s first opponent in TNA and he should have seen it then. Young is willing to do whatever it takes to fix problem. TNA is in a state of emergency but Hendry’s biggest contribution to TNA and wrestling is this – the cleanse starts with him. Hendry looked puzzled and said Young sounds like a conspiracy theorist but, if we dealt in facts, we could have a match right now. Young gets irate and yells “no,” kicking at fans in the process. There won’t be a match tonight but on his terms next week – that’s when the cleanse begins.

Hendry knows Young doesn’t call the shots but if Marella will have it, it will be Young vs. Hendry, if Young has the courage. And, Young will see what they mean when he chants “We Believe.” Young and the armory head back up the ramp as Hendry basked in the adulation.

And, sonofamagung, it’s Marella backstage, but this time with Leon Slater. Marella heard Slater wanted the best competition. He knew the Rascalz were cleared this week so Marella is concocting something as they spoke. Slater is elated by this and said he wanted to remind people that this is Total Nonstop Action as Slater and Marella are in agreement. As we are forced to agree with a break and Naked Gun plug. There is also a Bound For Glory hype piece.

We go back to Rewholdt and Hanifan who continue the train of hyperbole as we officially get the match between Hartwell and the winner of Ash and Slamovich at Victory Road. We get “the last dance’ match between The Hardys vs. Dudleys. We also talk about the Williams vs. Santana main event with a X/Twitter video from Williams regarding the match.

Williams is trying to watch the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Dallas Cowboys at home (Halftime score confirmed for the Eagles.) But, people want to talk about Santana vs. Willams. Williams doesn’t owe TNA anything, rather, the other way around. Williams broke attendance records, TV Deals and gate. What more do we want from him? Since nothing good comes from Minnesota (including the Vikings,) he isn’t showing up to TNA anytime soon.

We now get the main event (after the A-Game hype)
Six Man Tag Match Steelz and the Great Hands (John Skyler and Jason Hotch) vs. the Hardys and Mara Sade.

Steelz and the Great Hands come to ringside with Special Agent Zero. Ali and the other servicemen are not in tow. Sade entered next with Hardys-themed look followed by the Hardys herself. Hanifan noted Sade’s look was inspired by long Hardys’ associate, Lita (ummmm…about that.) The Hardys are next with their standard huge pop. They take a looong time acknowledging the fans (during what would be the commercial break and then some.) The crowd is into it as Order Four threaten them in the ring. However, as soon as the Hardys enter the ring. Order Four heads to the floor.

Eventually, the match started with Skyler and Matt Hardy. Hardy grabs an arm lock but Skyler back elbowed out of it , only to be dropped by a punch. Hardy continued to pound away on Skyler in the corner. Jeff is tagged and the Hardys hit the guillotine neck snap/leg drop combination on the apron. Skyler recovered and tagged Hotch, only to be met with the inverted drop kick, wishbone legdrop and seated dropkick sequence by Jeff. Jeff hit an elbow drop for two. Jeff set up Hotch for the Twist of Fate but Skyler ran into the ring but was also caught in a headlock by Jeff. Steelz promptly entered and she was caught in a headlock by Sade. Sade and Jeff hit DDT’s on the heels who dropped to the mat and the floor.

Steelz started to point and wanted Hotch to tag. Hotch obliged, as did Jeff, who tagged Sade. Sade and Steelz traded go behinds and Sade hit a takedown and a series of boots. However, Steelz moved to avoid a meteora. Steelz sent Sade to the floor. Sade avoided a sliding dropkick through the ropes but as Sade got back in the ring, Steelz grabbed her leg. Sade countered with an enziguri as Steelz landed in the corner to tag Hotch as Matt was also tagged.

Matt got the better of a series of punches and then hit the 10-turnbuckles spot (as Hotch’s head hit each turnbuckle on the way down.) Hardy then hit the elbow to the neck of Hotch from the second turnbuckle. Matt got the crowd excited (a quick “Twist of Fate” chant emerged.) However, Skyler distracted the referee as Zero grabbed his legs and dragged him to the floor and rammed his head into the apron (yup, still the hardest.) The referee admonished Zero and, despite Hotch’s pleading, ejected Zero (Skyler had to reassure him it was okay.) The crowd jeered him with the “Na Na Na, Hey, Hey, Goodbye” song.

Meanwhile, this gave Hotch time to recover and hit a huge dive between the ropes and clobbered Matt. Hotch beat on Matt and threw him into the ring as the beating continued. The Hands hit a double punch into the gut into a double bulldog off the ropes and followed it with a double elbow drop for two. Skyler continued to pound on Matt. Skyler hit a snapmare and then hit the chinlock.

Matt got to his feet but Skyler ran Matt into Hotch’s boot. Skyler distracted the referee as Hotch and Steelz pounded away and choked Matt in the turnbuckle. A temporary rally by Matt was squelched by an elbow smash by Skyler for two. Skyler took time to slug Jeff in the corner but that gave Matt time to recover and hit the Side Effect on Skyler,

Skyler and Matt tagged the ladies and Sade came in a house on fire with a series of clotheslines, a flying forearm and a sling blade. She also hit a nice powerslam on Steelz off the ropes for two. However, as Sade hit the ropes, Hotch pulled to the mat by her hair. Steelz started to pound away on Sade and landed a series of elbow drops for two.

Steelz continued to dominate Sade with a forearm smash. She then sent Sade to the turnbuckle and hit a series of shoulderblocks to the gut as we hit our last break. When we returned, Jeff was in the ring with Skyler. Jeff dropped Jeff with a kick that sent Skyler to the corner. Jeff hit the turnbuckle aided drop kick and threatened the Twist of Fate. Hotch tried to break up the move but was backdropped for his efforts. Skyler did manage to get out of the hold and get a rollup (with a handful of tights) for two.

Both Hardys were in the ring and send Skyler to the turnbuckle as Jeff hit the Poetry in Motion. Matt hit another Side Effect as Jeff climbed to the second turnbuckle and hit a bodysplash for two. Jeff grabbed the chinlock but a Skyler hit a jawjacker to break the hold. He ran Jeff into the corner but missed a flying splash. Jeff hit a series of shoulderblocks.

Skyler reversed a whip into the turnbuckles and beckoned Hotch to come into the ring. However, Jeff met a charging Skyler with a back elbow and met Hotch with a fist. Hardy climbed to the top turnbuckle and the Whisper of the Wind on both Great Hands. Hotch reversed a clothesline with a spinning wheel kick. However, Matt got in the ring and hit a neckbreaker. Matt hit the ropes but was met with a Skyler spear through the ropes. Skyler than sent Matt to the floor.

Skyler beat on Hardy on the floor as Sade and Steelz were the only two left on the apron. Naturally, they went after each other in the ring and traded punches. Steelz hit a kick to the gut and set Sade up for a Piledriver. However, Sade reversed that into the Finish Her. Skyler grabbed Sade by the hair and threatened to hit her. Skyler put Sade on her shoulders as Hotch climbed the turnbuckles to hit The Favor.

Matt recovered from the earlier beatdown and got in the ring to break up the move. He pushed Skyler into Hotch, who fell to the floor. Matt grabbed Skyler and hit the Twist of Fate. Sade headed to the top turnbuckle to complete the Lita homage with a moonsault on Skyler. Naturally, the only thing left was Jeff to hit the Swanton Bomb for the victory.

Post Match: the faces celebrated as we have a Hardy (and Sade) party (Hardy and Sade Partay?)

But, whilst reveling in the fans’ applause. The Nemeths ran to ringside and hit stereo Zig Zags. Sade admonished Nick . Nick backed away for a moment and then landed a superkick on Sade. The brothers Nemeth glared at the carnage, grabbed the belts and posed with them.

We get a recap of the action from Hanifan and Rewholdt as the Nemeths stood in the rings. We get a shoutout to the sponsors as the Nemeths head up the ramp.

Impactful Ruminations

One, credit to Hanifan and Rewholdt for their work tonight. Hanifan did a superb job with the tribute to the fallen children at the Anunciation Catholic shooting (also, kudos to TNA for the shirts. Nicely done.) On the other side of the spectrum, the duo were in rarified air (slight pun intended) with the By Elegance victory party. The punchline and denouement could be seen as far as here, but they did a great job getting there. The two just work great together.

Two, another week, another awesome Ali promo.

Three, the matches seemed oddly long, especially the Cardona vs. Kazarian match. I guess we have to set up Maclin for his next feud and his ascension to number two babyface (in six weeks.) The match with Cardona was okay and I do like the old-school heel tactics of Kazarian.

Four, the women’s triple match was also long but I get it the rationale. Hartwell seemed like the obvious choice but I actually found myself not hating the work by Threat. She actually did really well in the match, all things considered. Luna is still really good and setting up for a solid heel turn.

Five, speaking of which; there has been some discussion about the set up of the women’s division (tag and individual.) The Individuals are starting to balance out and add some much needed depth (Sade looked really good in her match and still glad she is getting her shot at the title.) The heels are getting some depth with Steelz and Luna starting to get warm again. However, the tag division is really lopsided. For the faces, we have the Iinspiration, Grace and Hudson, Brookside and Lee. The heels have the By Elegance Brand and ????? Maybe, we are all jaded (again no real pun intended) after seeing the depth of the WWE’s divisions, but should we maybe add a little more on the women’s side?

Six, I hope Williams enjoyed the game.

Seven, Ryan Nemeth is smart. He knows his role (as the man said,) he knows his limitations and strengths. So, he will lean into it as much as he can. The superkick to Sade seemed a bit gratuitous unless the Nemeths have someone in mind for a six-person tag match. Nick is still a perfectly acceptable wrestler and seems refreshed here. Good for him.

Eight, with Young and Hendry scheduled for Victory Road and the Santana vs. Williams being the obvious main event; what is Hendry’s swan song going to be? He has already ingratiated himself in the WWE (I thought Tank calling his name whilst in the Cutler chokehold was great) so how does this end for him? I do hope it is not Young as the last match (although it probably is.) Young’s sAnity recreation just isn’t doing it for me.

Nine, Personal Concierge is a treasure. This feels like great, old-school wrestling managers. His performance during the celebration was phenomenal.

Ten, decent mix of action and oration this week. The pacing worked well and, aside from the weird Miller final shot, the production is rounding into form. I loved the action continuity (by and large) on the streaming service. That was always a hindrance of Impact in the past but they have made some big leaps forward.

Eleventh, the slow road to WWE-ification continues with a closing minute heel run in with the Nemeths standing victorious.

Lastly, wasn’t there a female brunette around here? Tessa something? What happened to her? I am not sure if she is injured but they brought her back with a huge push and now she is almost milk-carton material.
