It’s Morning Daily News time! We made it through Monday again, and the UK made it through the sun trying to slowly melt us all again. The blog was very busy yesterday as we got Niz’s NXT Heatwave review, Sonic Reducer’s latest WWE LFG review, Rock Star Gary posted a review of WCCW from April 9, 1988, Jabroniville gave us a new Joshi Spotlight, LScisco posted a new WTWWW for WWF Wrestling Challenge from May 1, 1994, and Kat uploaded yesterday’s WWE Raw review.

New Championship Match Made Official For WWE Clash In Paris

The WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship will be on the line at Clash in Paris as current champion Becky Lynch accepted a challenge from WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella to face her at the pay-per-view during a segment on Raw. After Lynch cut a heel promo on the city of Birmingham and the late Ozzy Osbourne, Bella ran Lynch off to finish the segment.

AEW’s Queen Aminata Stranded In UK Following Forbidden Door

Queen Aminata is stuck in the UK after competing at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door in London, after her backpack, which contained a lot of her important personal belongings, including her US passport, was stolen. Aminata posted a video to Instagram explaining her situation and was surprisingly upbeat about it, even joking that the reason her belongings were stolen is because the people of the UK don’t want her to leave.

Swerve Strickland Set For Knee Surgery After AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door Match

In more post-Forbidden Door news, Swerve Strickland is set to undergo knee surgery tomorrow, as he has been dealing with a torn meniscus injury since 2019 and will be taking time away from the company following his match at Forbidden Door to get it repaired and to recover.

AEW & WWE stars attend Newcastle vs. Liverpool game together

AEW’s Pac and WWE’s Sami Zayn were spotted in the crowd together at St. James’ Park, supporting Newcastle United in their Premier League match against Liverpool. Unfortunately for Pac and Zayn, Newcastle were beaten by Liverpool 3-2 despite coming back from being 2-0 down to making it level at 2-2 with just 2 minutes of normal time to go, but Liverpool were able to secure a victory with a goal from 16-year-old Rio Ngumoha 10 minutes into stoppage time.
