Roman Reigns Returns To WWE, Plus 3 New Matches Confirmed For SummerSlam On Raw

Roman Reigns made a surprise return last night on Raw to save CM Punk and Jimmy Uso from an attack by Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed following a Gauntlet Match to determine the number 1 contender for Gunther’s World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam, which Punk won. And in other SummerSlam title match news, Naomi vs. Iyo Sky vs. Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship, and Becky Lynch vs. Lyra Valkyria for the Women’s Intercontinental Title were also made official for the biggest show of the summer on last night’s Raw.

Adam Cole Was Prepared To Retire At AEW All In: Texas Until “Cooler Heads Prevailed”

According to Bryan Alvarez on the latest Wrestling Observer Live, Adam Cole was ready to announce his retirement at All In last Saturday, due to suffering another concussion that forced him to vacate his TNT Championship and withdraw from his scheduled match at All In against Kyle Fletcher. Alvarez said that “cooler heads prevailed”, and Cole decided against making the decision to retire at the show.

Cody Rhodes Presents WWE Title Belt To MLB Home Run Derby Winner

Cody Rhodes made an appearance at the MLB Home Run Derby in Atlanta yesterday to present the winner of the event, “Big Dumper” Cal Raleigh, with a custom WWE Home Run Derby Championship. The title belt featured MLB branding and T-Mobile sponsor logos, alongside the WWE logo.

WWE Vs. TNA Match Made For Bloodsport Over SummerSlam Weekend

WWE’s Natalya and TNA’s Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich will go head-to-head at Bloodsport 14, which is set to take place over SummerSlam weekend on Saturday, August 2. Natalya and Slamovich shared a heated exchange on Twitter, which prompted Bloodsport host Josh Barnett to make the match official.
