Evening Daily News Update – June 3rd, 2025

FROM THE PAGES OF THE BOD MAGAZINE, HERE’S UPDATE…
Good evening, Blog Odd’ers. It’s Tuesday, and you know what that means. We’ve got NXT tonight. We saw quite a shake-up recently with multiple title changes and call-ups. You could make a strong argument that the “episodic” television of NXT is lapping the efforts put into Raw and Smackdown, which seems to be doing their best to do as little to fill as much time as possible. Tonight, we’ve got Trick Williams defending the TNA Championship against Mike Santana, DarkState taking on Chase U, and Myles Borne versus Charlie Demspey with some special stipulations.
BREAKING NEWS: New York Knicks relieve Tom Thibodeau of his position as head coach following New York’s loss to the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals. To get to the next level, the Knicks need to play 9-man deep, and I don’t mean 2-minutes each for 3 of those guys off the bench per game.
BTE Making a Comeback?
Matt Jackson says there is interest in bringing back the long-running online series that focused on the Elite and their friends. I wonder how much they will have to pay the Dark Order to regain the rights to the show…

The WWE Vault brings us (in as complete form as possible) the unaired pilot of WCW Festival de Lucha, meant to launch Telemundo as the WCW alternative to WWF’s Super Astros. The Vault is also running the full When Worlds Collide PPV after farming it for several “full match” uploads over the last few months.
SPORTS SPORTS SPORTS…
The Stanley Cup Finals FINALLY begins tomorrow night, with the Edmonton Oilers hosting the Florida Panthers. We’ll need to wait until Thursday night for the NBA Finals, when everyone doesn’t care because it’s Oklahoma City vs Indiana. David Stern would have never allowed such a travesty, he would have found a way for the Lakers to play the Knicks… or the Celtics.
The Colorado Rockies improved their record to 10-50 and have the chance to snap a MLB record 22-series losing streak when they continue their series with the Miami Marlins. Tim Anderson is still on the market, I’m sure the Rockies could find a spot for him. Kerry Carpenter of the Detroit Tigers smacked three dingers in one game, because of course he does that on a day I don’t have money riding on him to complete a parlay, but at least I have to decency to not threaten players and/or their families because I’m a degenerate gambler. Carpenter is the first Tiger to accomplish the feat since Victor Martinez in 2016.
If you missed it last night, Kat has the latest episode of Monday Night Raw covered, and LScisco wraps up January 1994 with What the World Was Watching.
As always, have a good time, keep it clean, and come out dooming.
