Evening Daily News Update – May 30th, 2025
By Garth Holmberg on 30 May 2025
FROM THE PAGES OF THE BOD MAGAZINE, HERE’S UPDATE!
Good evening, Doomers. It’s Friday, and you know what that means! 3-hours of Friday Night Smackdown! You could use the time it would take to watch Smackdown and catch up with Dynamite, Impact, NXT, Evolve… literally anything else. If you’ve read this far, you probably aren’t going to the local disco tech or whatever Matt Striker thought was the hip thing for kids to do.
Former AEW Champion Removed from Roster
We shouldn’t see this as much of a surprise, honestly, though there was some doubt whether or not it was just an elaborate social media troll job. You never know these days.
Another AEW Talent Exiting Company
They might not appear often, but they will forever be immortalized as part of the roster of AEW Fight Forever (does anyone else still play that?)
There’s a Vince McMahon news blurb, but fuck him, I’m not advertising anything of him unless it’s him going up a creek without a paddle.
YouTube Spotlight: AAA Mini Stars Compete at When Worlds Collide
See AAA’s smallest competitors wow the world as Octagoncito and Mascarita Sagrada battle Espectrito and Jerrito Estrada at When Worlds Collide 1994. I feel like WWE Vault has dipped into the When Worlds Collide well a lot, but it was a weak day for their channels.
My beloved New York Knicks fought for survival and took Game 5 at Madison Square Garden, bringing the series back to Indianapolis with the Pacers still in control of a 3-2 series lead. Oklahoma City Thunder are licking their lips waiting to pick the remains of either team. The Colorado Rockies are still hot buttered ass (TM Phrederic). The NH Stanley Cup Finals, with the Florida Panthers clashing with the Edmonton Oilers in a rematch of the 2024 Finals that went the distance. We’re all pulling for the Oilers, I’m sure.
Mike is back with another Show Considered a Stinker (it’s Reign of Terror era RAW), LScisco brings us more What the World Was Watching (The January 30th, 1994 Challenge), Scott II has the latest episode of TNA Impact, and last and certainly least, I have this week’s episode of ROH (featuring THE MAN-BEAST RHINO). Maybe I’ll go back and sniff around Smoky Mountain Wrestling (it’s been about 5-6 years lol).
As always, keep it clean and enjoy yourselves. – GH
