Do you think they plan on rebranding AAA to WWE Lucha Libre? Perhaps this could be more programming for CW Network?
They seem to have abandoned the idea of NXT being kinda its own entity and having sister promotions. For instance, their PLEs are now WWE branded. Evolve was initially supposed to be “NXT Evolve” years ago and they obviously abandoned that idea. I don't see any “NXT Mexico” coming soon. It will definitely be WWE whatever.
I think yeah, it’s more cheap programming for them and a foothold into the market. Branding it WWE is a much better move anyways because NXT doesn’t mean much outside of the US as far as I know.
