What went wrong? During his NXT run, it seemed he was gonna translate well with the main roster/US audience. I thought Hunter would've rehabbed him well and while we got some cool heel Nak stuff since Hunter took over. It was like it was more to get over some faces (Knight, Cody Rhodes ect.) rather then boost him up. I guess he'll go down as a what could've been. Goes back to Japan for one last NJPW contract and a few AEW appearances? I know Tony is gonna be salivating at the thought of Nak/Okada, Nak/Omega ect.
I think it’s been clearly established that he’s mostly just there to cash a cheque and surf in Florida. Good on him for living the dream.
