Great American Bash '92 had Gordy and Williams already unify the titles and beat their nemesis the Steiners. Dominating all the way. Then next PPV the title is already on Rhodes/Windham and Gordy is out of the company.
Big Van Vadder dominates his way to the World Title and then by the time Halloween Havoc rolls around he has lost it Ron Simmons. Then he is a stand in for Rick Rude in the US Title Match.
Has any PPV that seems to be big event end up meaning nothing?
People blame Watts for that one but there was a bunch of stuff set up before he ever got there. It wasn’t his company so he had to work around existing plans and signings. Yeah he was out of touch and his eventual plans weren’t great but honestly he was handicapped by a LOT outside of his other noted issues. #JusticeForCowboy
