Being Old

Hey Scott,
It’s funny how you mentioned you’re following 3 different eras of WCW (90/94/2000) and how different they are. Good matches here and there aside; when did wrestling become so blandly similar? Hulkamania and Attitude Era felt like eternities. Such stark difference with all kinds of Doink and Bret Hart’s championship career in between, but they’re a hiccup by comparison. When I was a kid I thought that goddamn Lex Express would never stop. Now it feels like anyone who was a Shield has been around for a century.
My back hurts. My front too.
I hear ya on the back.
I think the turning point was the Kevin Dunn HD era in 2009, when all the arenas started looking the same for TV continuity purposes and the same group of people mostly came in and never left. The era of Cena, Orton, Ziggler, Kingston and Miz has been going for more than a decade and isn’t stopping yet.
