Other Big Canadian Wrestling Scott

I'm not sure you've heard but apparently Scott D'Amore has relaunched a local wrestling fed here in Ontario called Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling (MLP) following his departure from TNA. Now, normally I would've written this off as just another local federation with no hopes of expanding beyond one or two towns. But I've also heard that D'Amore comes from money, as in, eight figures money, from his family's deep involvement in Windor's construction and other local businesses. Given his supposed deep pockets, do you think that whatever venture D'Amore has ties to has the potential to actually grow into something bigger? Maybe not national given how huge Canada is, but maybe something that could replicate the local Canadian territories of old?
I don’t think he has any particular desire to tour. He seems like he wants to slot into the TNA slot of glossy indie that runs PPV. Maybe he’ll get a TV deal too. I haven’t watched the shows because ain’t no one got time for yet another six hours of PPV last week but I hope he does well.
