Needlessly complicated wrestling moves
By Scott Keith on 22 October 2024
Hey Scott, in your many years of watching wrestling, what's the most unnecessarily complicated move that you've ever seen?
Personally I've never understood the logic behind some moves involving leg hooks. Like, what's the point in grabbing a cross leg with a fisherman buster? Or when Mike Quackenbush used to wrestle in CHIKARA he would cross someone's legs on a Tombstone Piledriver. What's the point of that extra motion?
Longtime readers probably already know the answer from me, but it's a variety of stuff from the early 2000s which is all based on the same Roll The Dice maneuver and mainly involves increasingly convoluted ways of doing a simple neckbreaker.
