Times You Stopped
By Scott Keith on 7 October 2024
Wondering what times everyone stopped watching particular promotions?
Ones for me are kind of generic but true.
– Fingerpoke of Doom: Not the night of per se, and I certainly didn't innately mind the swerve match thing. I was just so done with the big Heel NWO angle and Hogan, that I just wanted out.
– Bradshaw World Champ: My decline in interest had already begun, but I couldn't stand that shit.
Somewhat less dramatic but for me it was Chris Jericho as John Cena's challenger in the summer of 2005. I was just like “This isn't for me anymore” and I was almost ready to get out of writing about wrestling completely if WWE 24/7 didn't bring me back with classic content that I could talk about instead. It wasn't that the feud was BAD or anything, but I had never before felt such a shift from what I liked to something that was clearly meant for a different audience and I just wanted off the train.
