Finishers

Hi Scott,
The Fall Brawl review mentions Steamboat hitting a tombstone for a two count. I know tons of finishers have become transition moves but back in the day, was there a kayfabe reason why something like a tombstone was finisher for Muraco but not someone else? I seem to recall the Bulldogs doing that move a fair amount. Was the guy using it as a finisher a ‘master’ of the move where others weren’t? I understand this is more of an old-school, protect your finisher thing, but any stories of guys getting pissed that others were doing this?
Yeah it was always positioned as “This guy has spent years mastering the move” like Flair with the figure-four or Dusty laying on the mat selling a chinlock. I don't recall a lot of specific heat stories, but then most guys were usually smart enough not to have overlapping finishers in the same territory anyway because it's always best to be unique.
