Where did 100K Dynamite watchers go?

By Scott Keith on 15 July 2024

Scott,

Over the last few months, it seems that a little over 100K people have stopped watching Dynamite.

My question is where did they go and why?

I think the main reasons are as follows:

– No true babyfaces

– MJF

– The Elite

– Start and stop pushes

What say you?

Also, have the ratings for Collision and Rampage also gotten lower and how much does the company or the network care?

Yeah the Dynamite rating thing is a weird deal because they lost those viewers to the basketball and hockey and then they just…didn't come back. Rampage and Collision are actually holding steady or up on weeks without a WWE show destroying their audience, and I think when everything shakes down we'll end up with the shows merging into a three-hour block on Saturday or another night. I don't think there's any specific reason why that audience, particularly the males 34-49 according to Meltzer, have dropped so abruptly aside from getting out of the habit of watching and not getting back into it. I think overall Tony needs to do something to hook more kids into watching like WWE does but pretty much everything with the booking is just short-term solutions. Clearly TK is trying to hotshot the shit out of Dynamite right now and get that bag from WBD. If it works, it's best for everyone because more strong wrestling companies is a good thing.
