HBK & Taker at Mania
By Scott Keith on 5 April 2024
For many years going into Wrestlemania, we could always count on one of two things: HBK going out and stealing the show or the drama associated with the Undertaker's streak (before he lost to Brock). Sadly, since both men have retired, it seems
no one has stepped up in any significant way to fill that void. For a while, AJ Styles appeared to be HBK's natural successor as the show stealer but his body couldn't really keep up, and there is no one with the Undertaker's aura aside from maybe Roman Reigns
who's been dominant over the last couple years. Do you think we'll ever see streaks like those of HBK and Taker in the future, and is there anyone on the current roster that you could see filling the voids left by these two legends?

No, because the current model is to sacrifice personal greatness for the betterment of the company, so it's unlikely that you'll see a lot of show-stealing or undefeated streaks at this point. That way in case someone goes to icky AEW, then the machine continues rolling and making money with someone else in the same spot.
