Love & WWE: Bianca & Montez – “Long Distance Love” (episode five)

Episode five, titled “Long Distance Love,” dropped with the first eight episodes on February 8, 2024 on Hulu and on Disney+ for those with the Disney Bundle.

Montreal, QC. Elimination Chamber. Montez Ford makes his walk down the ramp to the Chamber. Montez tells us how the Chamber works and how dangerous it is. We watch Montez in his pod as Bianca watches backstage and says she is nervous.

Montez is in and we see him get clotheslined onto the outside flooring before climbing the Chamber. He hangs from the top of the Chamber and tells us he could feel the energy compress in the building as he drops onto the other participants. Bianca cringes backstage as the fans chant “holy shit.” Bianca tells us that it meant so much watching her husband live out his dream and even if he didn’t win, it was a big deal. Montez says he’s trying to get himself out there to prove himself.

Opening titles!

This week’s opening crowd question is wondering if it is hard being on opposite events. Bianca says she just starts doing stuff when things like that happens and it gives her anxiety.

35 Days Until WrestleMania. We’re at the Ford/Belair household as he questions her about her booty shorts gear. He tells her that he has a match this week on SmackDown as the added viewership gives more opportunities. She says she’s excited but also sad, because they lose their weekend together. She says she’s going to get all the gear done in his absence, and he tells her take the time and relax.

After break, we see Bianca helping pack a suitcase as she tells us she has to share Montez even more with the world now. She tells him to not forget about him as she looks so sad. The doorbell rings…

…and in come Jenae & Danielle – Bianca’s Childhood Best Friends to her surprise. Montez with the surprise! Bianca met them as track partners as a child. Bianca tells Montez how sweet this is and they all promise to have fun. She tells them she can’t believe they’re standing right there in her house.

Washington, D.C. Montez and Angelo Dawkins – Montez’s Tag Team Partner pull up to a car wash. Angelo asks why they’re washing a rental car, which is a valid question, and Montez says you never know who is watching. “Those are the Street Profits… why is their car dirty?” Montez says Dawkins’ brand is comfortable and he’s the opposite. Ford recalls going into the Marines and how it taught him to always look presentable. Ford tells him that you have to get out of your comfort zone or you never move up. Montez tells us he hopes his dreams of moving up the roster don’t hurt Dawkins and that Dawkins puts in the work too.

We’re back to the girls, together for the first time in five years. Bianca tells us they’re the example of female empowerment. Bianca explains how exhausted they are but they discuss that’s how working couples are. Bianca mentions she wants a little Montez but it would be fun having a little girl too. She says she’s still trying to figure out the timeline and tells us that she barely has time just for her and her husband and career.

Back from break, the girls have found a running track. Bianca says they’ve had a few beverages and she wants to show she’s the EST. She wants to show them she still has it because questioning if they still have it. The heels come off and the race in on and Bianca’s a solid third as they all collapse in laughter. She tells us they’ve had babies and everything and they still left her behind.

Back to Washington. WWE SmackDown, 29 Days Until WrestleMania. The Profits are getting their hair touched up by Drew – WWE Barber. Drew says he’s never had someone come with a Gucci bag before and Dawkins calls him Gucci Tez. Ridge Holland – WWE Superstar walks up, asks them if they’re comfy and wonders why they’re at SmackDown. Dawkins asks Ridge if he’s ever gotten a rental car and taken it to the car wash and they both pick on Montez.

Back to the house as the girls are watching old videos of their track competitions. Bianca says it is weird not having Montez there. She says it’s good because his career is thriving but it’s weird for her not being booked with him. She mentions if they decide to have kids, she’s going to be home all the time watching him. She wants to do for him what he’s done for her, but she isn’t sure now is the time to put the pause on her career. Bianca tells the girls she’s so grateful for them and they’re so lucky to have retained a friendship through all the years.

SmackDown is on the air as we see the Profits greet Otis, Elias and Grayson Waller. Montez tells us he’s here to show what they can do as Kristin Altman – WWE Talent Relations greets them. She says she has some bad news – the show is running heavy so they have to cut their segment. Rocky must be there.

Montez says “damn” and that nothing is guaranteed. He says it’s heartbreaking and there’s still no definite way for them to be a part of Mania. He calls Bianca and tells her the news. He says it’s not a good thing for them, and she tells him you can’t take it personally when the show runs long. He mentions not being seen means being easily forgotten and she reminds him to not think that way.

Next on Love & WWE, Bianca finds the help for her WrestleMania entrance and Montez is still trying to find his path to the event. Plus, we seem to have a pregnancy test and Bianca realizes she is sick and what time of the month it is.
