Heavily Disputed

The Undisputed Kingdom is looking like perhaps AEW's biggest booking
mistake. Sure, “play it out and see where it goes,” except we've
already seen ad nauseum where Adam Cole-led heel factions go, and it
already feels so played out. If the Devil gang had just been Wardlow
and Taven/Bennett hired by Samoa Joe, then I guess fine? That at
least has a theme of MJF and Cole's past allies joining forces to
destroy them. But you can't un-ring a bell, and this stable has now
ruined…
* Cole, whose face turn was such an absolute breath of fresh air for
his character, and it gave AEW such a hot angle in Max's own face
turn. If Cole is still on the shelf for months anyway, why not have
the Devil gang “reinjure him,” so Cole and MJF could both return
around the same time for revenge?
* Strong, since his neckbrace comedy character was really catching on.
If TK absolutely felt the need to turn Cole heel, at least keep Roddy
out of the faction, so Roddy can become a face because he's also been
tricked and manipulated by his so-called friends. Then you can get
months of Roddy facing the Kingdom and finding new allies (in his own
goofy way) backstage, thus giving the heel group something to do until
MJF is healthy.
