Should he get mentioned more on the list of workers who squandered their potential? If you go back and watch Kid/Shawn and especially Kid/Bret from Raw, they're great. He had solid character work in WCW, and one of the most memorable return promos to WWE ever; only for his major company career to be basically over at 30.
Obviously his life was a trainwreck for a long time, and he did have runs in TNA, but it seemed like he still had it in Chikara. Why did he never get another WWE shot in the 2010s beyond nostalgia one offs?
If I had to guess I’d say that he was kind of a pain to deal with for so long that the negatives far outweighed the negatives.
