Not Elite

So I completely understand how bad the optics would have looked if the Elite signed with WWE instead of re-signing with AEW. But do you think it might have been better for everyone involved if they hadn't re-signed? There is no AEW without them, but it seems now there are more of a nuisance than helpful. Young Bucks are barely around and seem checked out when they are on the show. Hangman seems to be aloof and I don't think he really cares about anything. I mean it took how many weeks for him to attack swerve after he invaded his house? And creatively things are so bad we are forced to sit thru Jericho and Omega teaming against the Young Bucks, who will most likely lose their tag title shots that they just remembered they had. Most likely cause they don't want to drop the titles back to FTR at some point.
It just seems like Tony is having to force them into stuff just because they are there. I feel like things would alot more wide open creatively if Tony didnt have to worry about what are the Elite doing. I am just not sure how much they are adding to product currently. In WWE there were some dreams matches that would be great for them, but they wouldn't stifle creative directions. And honestly it seems like most fans could take them or leave them as well.
As I said last week, I think the Bucks made a huge mistake resigning. They would have been happier in WWE with the benefit of hindsight.
