Hey Scott,

Let’s say Barry Windham was highly motivated to make money/become famous etc—and doesn’t leave WWF in 1985 how do you see things playing out? Is he Bret Hart before Bret—staying with the US Express for years before going solo? Does he get put with Savage for the IC? Or does he get a run as one of Hogan’s BFF who eventually turns?

Same question but now it’s 1989. Does he eventually become Warrior’s main rival instead of Rude or does he stay at the IC level?

If he’s still motivated after 85? Sky’s the limit. They wanted to push the crap out of him and he had the pedigree of the famous legacy father as it is. I think he eventually goes heel and gets a run with Hogan.
As for 89, his best move was staying with the NWA and he would have been World champion. He had the double whammy of being Dusty’s protege as booker and a favoured opponent of Flair.
Really he pissed his own career away. But he was happy with it so great.
