Magnum at Starrcade 1986

Was the plan for Magnum to hang onto the US title until Starrcade and then vacate after for a tournament or lose it to Nikita/someone else beforehand?

If it was going to be a tournament who was the likely winner? Still Nikita or some new blood coming in?

You lost me there. Magnum lost the US title to Nikita in July, way before Starrcade 86 or his accident.
