AEW and released talent

Hey Scott:

Any chance that any of the recent WWE releases go to AEW and if so, can they make an impact?

Funny that you wrote this email about an hour before the news broke tonight.

So yes, I think there's a very good chance that Matt Riddle shows up in AEW, because that's just too big of a hanging curveball to leave over the plate, especially with WBD calling the shots and looking for star power to boost ratings. Yes he's problematic and he's a bad boy but I think that they think they can change him and bring him home to meet Zaslev with some cleanup. In a perfect world we'd all wait for Riddle to figure out what the hell is up with his life at the moment and earn a second chance, but in the situation we're in, I think TK throws some money at him and brings him in.
