Do you Tony would ever be interested in buying Impact? There's no value to the company but just solely for the 20+ year tape library to add into the AEW portfolio for a streaming platform?
I can see them making monthly PPVs exclusive on a steaming platform. The monthly shows obviously are the main selling point but it helps to have a combined 40+ years of content with ROH/Impact to go along with it.
I would think there would be more value in buying a huge tape library containing some of the biggest stars in pro wrestling history than paying 6 figures to use “Final Countdown”.
I don't see the Aspers giving up Impact any time soon, considering that they've basically got the Fight Network built around it and they've tried to monetize it numerous times with their streaming services. I think it's more likely that WWE would end up with the library if they ever decided to sell, just because they'd probably be asking for a lot more than TK would be willing to pay. Tony said that he basically got ROH for a bargain bin price recently, which is likely why he made the purchase.
