I Want to Tell You a Story

Hi Scott, I hope this finds you well. With the Bloodline angle/story still super hot, I wanted to get your thoughts on this list.

My greatest WWF/WWE storylines/arcs:

1. Bret's Fall From Grace

2. Austin-McMahon

3a. Randy Savage's odyssey from WM 2 to WM 8

3b. Hogan's journey from '84 to WM 6

5. The Bloodline (by proxy Roman’s journey)

From a historical perspective, I have Bret's Fall from Grace as the greatest story arc/angle/storyline of all time. Simply because of everything that comes from it: The Rise of Austin, The Rise of DX, The introduction of Mr. McMahon, Austin/McMahon. The nWo's rise and Bret's fall created the second golden age. I think It's indisputable.

From a storytelling point, I think it’s Savage’s and Pride of Canada said it best: “What I love about that story is you only need to watch Wrestlemania every year to get caught up and experience the most important plot points.”

I’d have to put Austin v McMahon on top because Bret’s deal had no storyline payoff. The redemption didn’t come until 13 years later!
