80’s WWF main events

Watching all the old MSG shows from the early 80's. Why did they put the main event in the middle of the show? After watching a world title match who the fuck wants to sit through a Salvatore Bellomo or Buddy Rose jobber match?

It was because they needed to shoot whatever angle for the next MSG show and announce it to the live crowd and start selling tickets. Plus Hulk needed to get on a plane and make his next dates, brother.
