Hey Scott,

I don't get why anyone is surprised about Cody losing last night. If there's one thing we know about McMahon/HHH it's that they are petty when it comes to “our guys” vs “their guys.” Did we really think after years of watching Cody take shots, smash the throne etc etc that they would have the “AEW” guy come in, rocket him to the top and beat the most dominant champ since Hogan?

Secondary question–did anyone else feel horrible for Brodie Jr? Front row seats to watch his hero lose—brutal.

Third question since why not–do you think Cody has the Luger stink on him now?

But Cody is “their guy”! That’s why it was such a great story and why it’s so crazy that he lost. He was a homegrown WWE talent who went and had success elsewhere and came home.

And at least Luger won by countout.
