So Metzler is such an ego maniac that can't lose an argument, especially on his own website, that he half reports new info regarding Punk situations. But he doesn't even have the marbles to give the whole story, because he has to be right. Of course Punk being the ego maniac he is, who has already started to come out of hiding recently, rightfully defends himself with his side and drops some concerning news himself about TK wanting him to preform while not cleared. So instead of people talking about the Omega match and somewhat positive TV ratings, now everyone is talking about this Punk stuff. He made some pretty bold claims so not surprised he deleted it. Plus I am sure he knew he left it up long enough for someone to screen shot and share it.
So where does this leave things. It seemed like things looked promising for CM Punk to come back. This doesn't make sense to be a work. This certainly doesn't help the narrative that AEW is unsafe, especially with the questionable decisions to let people wrestle with possible injuries like both Hardys. Making Mox look like Hogan refusing to do the job isn't a good look either. One could say Punk was being bitter, especially since they went out of their way to block his face on the truck. But none this helps the current situation to get him back. And none of this happens if Dave could just controls himself on the message boards. So I don't it see it being a work or CM Punk being able to go back there.
Does TK finally cut him lose and Punk get a payday for one off WWE spot? Or is Punk fully done in wrestling? Is Dave in the doghouse with TK for starting this mess? Does this affect FTRs decisions of they haven't already re-signed. And is Jericho having the last laugh here since he is probably Dave's source and Punk being in AEW affects his top spot in Tony's ear? Tune in next week for another episode of Tony's Cult of Personality.
