Can Ams transitional champs?

Hi Scott,

I hate to dredge up the Tom Zeno talk on the blog again, but I got thinking about something the other day. Strike Force are generally considered to have been transitional champions, despite getting a five month run with the belts.

If plans hadn’t changed, and Zenk struck around, do you think there’s much difference in how the Can Ams are booked and/or remembered 30 years later?
Strike Force was good but the Can-Ams were something special whenever I saw them. And Vince wanted to give them a HUGE push, so I think it might have held off the tag title switch to Demolition, maybe until Summerslam, if Zenk had stuck around. Or they might have gotten it back later like the Hart Foundation did. So yeah, I think they definitely would have been viewed in a different light.
