What if WWE isn’t sold?

WWE are looking into their media rights and “strategic alternatives”, i.e. a possible sale – but have added that perhaps nothing will change. Let’s say they mostly keep the status quo; maybe SmackDown moves back under NBC Universal’s umbrella, Nick Khan remains CEO, Triple H remains head of creative etc. What is there for Vince to do as Chairman? Plus if they sell and Vince is out, he’s in the same situation he just was a couple of months ago, sitting at home bored.
I'm pretty sure that if Vince is selling, it's not so he can go back to being at home bored. I think he either forces his way back into creative now or finds someone who will buy the company with an agreement to put him back in charge.
