Now, like they have in the past, they pull it off with the majority of the ppv being quality. But give me some context in that time frame. Was the Swerve & Lee feud ever solved? Has there even been a Trios team built up to face The Elite? What's the point in putting anyone against Jade at this point, it's a foregone conclusion. I'm still not sure what the payoff to Hayter will be since its still mostly the Britt show. I love Moxley & Hangman but the past 2 recent matches have been pretty decisive, so they just served to have a rubber match? If its gonna be Joe & Wardlow, announce already! We sacrificed the most over tag-teams title reign to a subpar team just to give them the magic moment of “retaining” the belts at the ppv i presume? The Gunns are waaaay down the list of tag-teams that deserve to be on Revolution at this point.
The AEW PPV Dash has begun
So we all knew it was going to be Danielson vs. MJF a while ago, which was a great step in building up a ppv with time, and we are now less than a month away. But it's the only match officially announced. With all the time they have between PPVS, AEW keeps falling into this trend of all these mini feuds and storylines but not until a week or two before the event, the whole card is hastily put together and announced with barely enough time to promote.
i have no idea what's going on with Keith Lee, I can only presume injury or something. That being said, we already know that the main event has to go for an hour, so that's gonna cut down on the PPV time options to begin with. Like if you do that, Moxley v. Hangman in a Texas Death match, New Woman's Order v. AEW Originals, Joe v. Wardlow and a tag title match, you've got a pretty solid 3.5 hour show right there. It's the main event that sells PPV and we know the main event, so I'm not worried about that.
